Lakers' Austin Reaves: Questionable for Friday
Reaves is questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards with a left calf strain, Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The questionable tag is an encouraging sign, giving Reaves a chance to suit up for the first time since Dec. 25. If the star guard is finally ready to return to action, Marcus Smart's fantasy value could take a considerable hit. Fewer minutes would be open to Jarred Vanderbilt as well.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Won't play Wednesday
Reaves (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Reaves has been cleared for full-contact work at practice and is expected to return during the Lakers' current road trip. However, he'll remain sidelined Wednesday. With the 27-year-old guard unavailable, Gabe Vincent, Jake LaRavia and Marcus Smart are candidates for increased playing time. Reaves' next opportunity to return will come Friday against the Wizards.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Won't return Monday
Reaves (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bulls.
Reaves has progressed enough in his recovery from a left calf strain to engage in full-contact work in practice. He's not quite ready to return to the Lakers' lineup, and his next opportunity to do so is Wednesday against the Cavaliers.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Goes through full-contact work
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said that Reaves took part in a scrimmage Saturday and that Reaves should be able to return "sooner than later," Dan Woike of The Athletic reports.
Redick said he wants Reaves to get through at least one more full-contact practice before he's cleared, but the fifth-year guard looks as though he'll be back in action at some point during the Lakers' ongoing road trip. Reaves' next chance to play will come Monday in Chicago.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Won't play Saturday
Reaves (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.
Reaves will miss his 15th straight game while recovering from a left calf strain. Prior to the injury, the guard was averaging 26.6 points, 6.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 23 appearances, and while he won't return Saturday, there's optimism that the 27-year-old could be back during the Lakers' current road trip, with Monday against the Bulls representing his next chance to take the floor. In the meantime, Marcus Smart and Jake LaRavia should continue to see expanded roles.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Ruled out Thursday
Reaves (calf) is out for Thursday's game against the Clippers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Reaves is getting closer to a return, as head coach JJ Redick previously noted that Reaves would be back before the Lakers' road trip ended Feb. 3. However, the standout wing won't be making his return to the hardwood Thursday night. His absence has opened up more opportunities for Jake LaRavia and Marcus Smart. Reaves' next chance to play will come Saturday at Dallas.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Will return during road trip
Head coach JJ Redick said Tuesday that Reaves (calf) is progressing well in his recovery and will return sometime during the Lakers' eight-game road trip, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Although Reaves has already been ruled out for Tuesday's game in Denver, this update bodes well for his chances of returning in the near future. He hasn't played since Dec. 25 due to a left calf strain. The Lakers' road trip ends Feb. 3 in Brooklyn, so the 27-year-old guard should return by early February at the latest, barring any setbacks. While Reaves will likely be on a minutes restriction whenever he's cleared to play, his return will leave fewer minutes available for the likes of Jake LaRavia, Gabe Vincent, Marcus Smart and Dalton Knecht.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Diagnosed with calf strain
Reaves has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left gastrocnemius strain and will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks, Dan Woike of The Athletic reports.
Reaves exited Thursday's loss to the Rockets with the calf injury, and the diagnosis confirmed the star guard will be sidelined for an extended period. The loss of Reaves means Marcus Smart, Dalton Knecht, Nick Smith and potentially Bronny James could be in line for more minutes in the Lakers' backcourt. Reaves is averaging a career-high 26.2 points per game, so his absence will be a huge blow for the Lakers, as they'll have to rely even more on Luka Doncic and LeBron James to carry the team offensively.
