  • David Jones Garcia: Let go by Utah

The Jazz waived Jones Garcia on Tuesday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Jones Garcia didn't make any appearances at the NBA level for the Jazz after signing a two-way deal with the club Nov. 22, but he was a standout in the G League. Across 17 games with the Salt Lake City Stars and Mexico City Capitanes this season, he has averaged 15.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 three-pointers, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks in 23.9 minutes per game.

  • Jazz's David Jones: Joins Utah on two-way deal

Jones and the Jazz agreed to a two-way contract Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. An undrafted rookie out of Memphis, Jones was waived by the 76ers back in September and had been playing for the G League's Mexico City Capitanes. Though he'll occupy one of the Jazz's three two-way spots and should have a chance at making his NBA debut at some point in 2024-25, he'll likely receive most of his minutes in the G League with Utah's affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.

  • David Jones: Waived by Philadelphia

Jones was waived by the 76ers on Wednesday, Paul Hudrick of Liberty Ballers reports. The 76ers signed Lester Quinones to a two-way contract Wednesday, so Jones had to be waived to make that happen. An undrafted rookie out of Memphis, Jones averaged 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 2.2 steals and 1.8 assists in 32.3 minutes per contest during his senior season.

  • 76ers' David Jones: Joins Philly on two-way contract

Jones and the 76ers agreed to a two-way contract Thursday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. A forward out of Memphis, Jones doesn't have much height at 6-foot-4, but he's coming off a standout senior season. Across 32 appearances, Jones produced 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.5 three-pointers. He's unlikely to crack the rotation early on for the 76ers.
