  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Falls short of double-double

Filipowski finished Thursday's 135-119 loss to the Trail Blazers with 15 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and six steals in 30 minutes. Getting his third start in seven February contests, Filipowski just missed recording his fourth double-double of the month while setting a new career high in steals. With the Jazz trying to balance tanking for the top of the lottery against the league's load management rules, the second-year big man is likely to continue seeing his court time and role fluctuate wildly on the other side of the All-Star break. In those three February starts, Filipowski is averaging 15.3 points, 14.0 boards, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.3 threes in 31.3 minutes.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Running with first unit

Filipowski is starting Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers. Filipowski is back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench in three straight games. It looks like it could be another night in which Jusuf Nurkic is available off the bench but won't play, meaning there could be plenty of chances for Filipowski to make an impact.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Bounces back with double-double

Filipowski recorded 16 points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals over 23 minutes during Monday's 115-111 victory over Miami. Filipowski was held to 12 minutes in his previous showing Saturday against the Magic, but he drew more opportunities Monday evening and made a significant impact. He did a good chunk of his damage from the charity stripe where he drilled a season-high eight shots, and he snagged double-digit rebounds for the third time in his last four games. Filipowski should continue to be in the frontcourt mix, though it's becoming difficult to predict when starters such as Jusuf Nurkic and Jaren Jackson will be featured versus giving players like Filipowski and John Konchar chances to show what they can do.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Hauls in season-high 17 boards

Filipowski logged 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 17 rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes during Thursday's 121-119 loss to the Hawks. The 17 rebounds were a season high for Filipowski, who submitted his sixth double-double of the year. Jusuf Nurkic ended up staying put with the Jazz following Thursday's trade deadline, but the veteran big man didn't appear against Atlanta and carries an uncertain future in Utah. Filipowski, on the other hand, is flourishing in the first unit in the meantime, averaging 14.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 29.9 minutes per contest in his last 13 games as a starter.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Double-doubles in win

Filipowski supplied 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 16 rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 131-122 win over the Pacers. The second-year center got the starting nod in place of Jusuf Nurkic, who was available to suit up but ultimately received a day off after initially being ruled out due to rest purposes. Filipowski grabbed a game- and season-high 16 rebounds, securing his fifth double-double on the campaign. The Jazz traded for Jaren Jackson on Tuesday, which will likely affect Filipowski's playing time if the club holds onto Nurkic past the trade deadline. However, Utah still owns a top-eight protected pick in the 2026 Draft and may continue resting key players as the season progresses, keeping Filipowski in the mix as a viable streaming option.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Jumping into starting lineup

Filipowski is starting Tuesday's game against the Pacers. The Jazz have a depleted frontcourt for the interim in the aftermath of Tuesday's Jaren Jackson trade. It's set to be the 17th start of the campaign for Filipowski, who has averaged 14.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.5 minutes per contest in his last 11 starts.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Won't start vs. Toronto

Filipowski won't start against the Raptors on Sunday. Jusuf Nurkic (illness) will return to action Sunday, pushing Filipowski to the bench. Over 12 games off the bench in January, the second-year center averaged 8.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 19.8 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Corrals 10 boards off bench

Filipowski had eight points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 115-103 loss to the Clippers. With Jusuf Nurkic out sick Tuesday, the Jazz ended up dividing the center minutes evenly between Kevin Love and Filipowski. Over his last five appearances, Filipowski has averaged 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.3 minutes per game. His role could diminish if Nurkic returns to the floor Wednesday against the Warriors.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Woeful in loss

Filipowski had two points (1-6 FG) and five rebounds in four minutes during Wednesday's 129-125 overtime loss to the Thunder. Filipowski was terrible Wednesday, logging a season-low four minutes. Seen as a likely silly-season winner, Filipowski's numbers over the past month have been far from ideal. In 13 appearances during that time, he has averaged 8.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per contest, leaving him well outside the top-250 players in standard formats.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Back in starting lineup

Filipowski is in the Jazz's starting lineup against the Clippers on Thursday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Filipowski has come off the bench in each of the Jazz's last three games, but the second-year big man will draw the start Thursday due to the absence of Jusuf Nurkic (toe). Filipowski has started 11 regular-season games thus far, and as a starter he is averaging 11.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 threes over 25.8 minutes per game.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Season-low 13 minutes

Filipowski ended Monday's 135-112 loss to the Nuggets with five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 13 minutes. Filipowski's role went from bad to worse Monday, logging a season-low 13 minutes, including just three minutes in the first half. Over his last three games, Filiowski is averaging just 5.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per contest, well below what fantasy managers are hoping for. There is still reason to believe his role will escalate at some point, although knowing when is proving difficult. At this stage, he should be viewed as more of a stash than a must-roster player.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Shifting to bench role

Filipowski isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Nuggets. Filipowski will return to a bench role following the return of Lauri Markkanen from a groin injury. Filipowski has scored in double figures in three of his last four appearances off the bench but was most recently held to two points in his last showing as a reserve Dec. 12 against Memphis.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Drops season-high 25 against Dallas

Filipowski accumulated 25 points (9-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block in 38 minutes during Monday's 140-133 overtime win over the Mavericks. Making his third start in the last five games, Filipowski set a new season high in scoring while just missing his second double-double of 2025-26. The second-year center has seen his court time increase over the last couple of weeks as the Jazz make an effort not to overwork Jusuf Nurkic. Over the last seven games, Filipowski has averaged 13.9 points, 7.7 boards, 2.7 assists, 1.1 threes and 1.0 steals in 30.6 minutes while shooting 54.4 percent from the floor.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Starting sans Nurkic

Filipowski will start Monday's game against the Mavericks, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. With Jusuf Nurkic (rest) unavailable, Filipowski will enter the starting five for the third time this month. The second-year center has averaged 9.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists across 23.3 minutes per contest in seven starts this season.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Double-double in Sunday's loss

Filipowski notched 21 points (10-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals in 36 minutes during Sunday's 131-101 loss to the Thunder. Making just his second start since the beginning of November, Filipowski recorded his first double-double of the season while setting new season highs in points and steals. Lauri Markkanen (illness) isn't likely to be sidelined for long, but Filipowski has been making an impact over the last few weeks regardless of his role, averaging 12.3 points, 7.4 boards, 2.7 assists, 1.1 threes and 0.9 steals over the last nine games in 26.7 minutes a contest.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Starting Sunday

Filipowski will start Sunday's game against the Thunder, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. Filipowski will enter the starting five due to Lauri Markkanen (illness) being ruled out. This will be Filipowski's second start over the last three games. In his previous start, he logged 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals across 31 minutes.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Retreating to bench

Filipowski won't start against the Knicks on Friday. With Jusuf Nurkic back in action following a one-game absence due to a right rib contusion, Filipowski will slide to the second unit. Over his last five appearances off the bench, the second-year big man has averaged 9.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 23.4 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Returns after one-game absence

Filipowski closed with 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 26 minutes during Friday's 144-112 loss to the Thunder. Filpowski was able to play through the wrist injury that held him out of Tuesday's loss to the Lakers, and he provided dependable interior support for Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkic in the loss. Most of Filipowski's production came during garbage time in the fourth quarter, when he accrued seven points, a rebound and an assist. Kevin Love was on fire during the first quarter with the second unit, which is one reason why it took a little while for Filipowski to get his opportunities.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Upgraded to available

Filipowski (wrist) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Filipowski will shake off a questionable tag to return from a one-game absence. In his last five appearances for the Jazz, Filipowski averaged 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 three-pointers in 21.4 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Quiet in 26 minutes

Filipowski had seven points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block over 26 minutes during Monday's 120-113 loss to the Timberwolves. Taylor Hendricks (hamstring) missed the front end of the back-to-back set, but he remains day-to-day. Filipowski wasn't able to take advantage of the opportunity, and he's still looking to find the form he had as a rookie. Through the opening 10 games, Filipowski is shooting 36.9 percent from the field for 6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 19.9 minutes per contest.
