Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Goes cold in victory
Knueppel finished Tuesday's 127-126 overtime Play-In Game victory over the Heat with six points (2-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes.
Knueppel continued his recent struggles on the offensive end, shooting no better than 36 percent from the floor for the fifth straight game. While it has been a spectacular rookie season for Knueppel, his recent slump has come at arguably the worst time for the Hornets. Following Tuesday's victory, Charlotte will now face either the 76ers or the Magic for the final spot in the playoffs. Look for Knueppel to try and shoot his way back into form in what is another must-win game.

Knueppel remains in a tight race with Cooper Flagg to see who will win the Rookie of the Year award, but it's safe to say the former Duke sharpshooter has cooled off lately. Knueppel has failed to reach the 15-point mark in three straight games and in six of his last eight. Furthermore, Knueppel has been limited to two or fewer three-pointers made four times during that eight-game stretch. That's below average for the rookie, who's shooting north of 42.5 percent from deep this season on nearly 8.0 attempts per game.

Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Makes NBA history Thursday
Knueppel registered 26 points (9-14 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds and eight assists over 37 minutes during the Hornets' 114-103 win over the Knicks on Thursday.
It was another strong performance out of the ROTY favorite, who connected on at least six triples for the ninth time this season and finished two assists short from registering the first triple-double of his NBA career. Knueppel's third three-pointer of the game was his 250th of the season, making him the only player age 22 or younger in NBA history to connect on 250 three-pointers in a season. The 20-year-old Duke product has been a key piece to the Hornets' resurgence this season, and since the All-Star break he has averaged 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3.9 threes and 0.8 steals over 29.7 minutes per game.
