  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Another absence coming

Garland (toe) will not play Sunday against Portland.

Garland was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right big toe sprain back on Jan. 18 and is expected to be re-evaluated in the near future. His next chance to play comes Wednesday against the Clippers.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Listed out for Friday

Garland (toe) is out for Friday's game against the Suns.

The Cavaliers are expected to re-evaluate Garland's right toe sprain in the imminent future. However, it's unknown if the star guard is joining the team or has a chance to return at any point during their upcoming five-game road trip. Until more light emerges on Garland's status, Jaylon Tyson and Sam Merrill both are worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Ruled out for Wednesday

Garland (toe) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.

Garland will miss a seventh consecutive contest due to a right great toe sprain, though he's expected to be re-evaluated soon. Until the Cavaliers offer an update on the 26-year-old point guard's progress, he should be considered doubtful for future contests. Jaylon Tyson, Tyrese Proctor and Lonzo Ball will likely continue to see increased minutes for as long as Garland is sidelined.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Diagnosed with right toe sprain

Garland will be re-evaluated in the next 7-to-10 days after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 right big toe sprain.

This is a big blow for the Cavaliers, who will be without Garland for at least the next five games and likely longer. The point guard reportedly suffered the injury Jan. 14 against Philadelphia and has already missed one game as a result of the injury. Craig Porter and Jaylon Tyson should be in line for more opportunities until Garland can return.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Officially out for Friday

Garland (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Philadelphia.

Garland was reported to be doubtful for Friday's game earlier in the day, so the fact that he's been downgraded to out is no shock. His next chance to take the court will arrive Monday against the Thunder. Craig Porter, Jaylon Tyson and Lonzo Ball could all see an uptick in minutes while Garland is sidelined.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Likely to miss Friday's game

Head coach Kenny Atkinson said after Wednesday's 133-107 win over the 76ers that Garland is "probably doubtful" for the Cavaliers' next game Friday in Philadelphia, Spencer Davies of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Garland was on his way to a big performance Wednesday, posting 20 points (8-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes before exiting the game with 4:08 left in the third quarter, when he landed hard on the floor while pursuing a loose ball. The Cavaliers later ruled Garland out for the rest of the game with a right foot injury, but neither the team nor Atkinson provided any further details regarding the point guard's longer-term prognosis. On a positive note, the injury isn't to Garland's left foot, which he required offseason surgery on to address a sprained big toe. With Garland in line to miss at least one game and Sam Merrill (hand) also trending toward sitting Friday, the Cavaliers will likely turn to Donovan Mitchell to handle more on-ball responsibilities, and more minutes could be available for the likes of Jaylon Tyson, Craig Porter, Lonzo Ball and Tyrese Proctor.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Won't return Wednesday

Garland (foot) will not return to Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Garland exited to the locker room late in the third quarter with a right foot injury and will finish Wednesday's contest with 20 points (8-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes. An update on his status should follow postgame, though it's worth noting the injury affects the opposite foot from the one that required offseason surgery.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Hits for team-high 23 in loss

Garland logged a team-high 23 points (7-17 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, eight assists, one block and three steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 123-112 loss to the Jazz.

The five made three-pointers represented his best showing from long range since Dec. 22. Garland saw his scoring sag around the holidays, but he appears to be finding a groove again, topping 20 points in three of the last four games while averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.3 boards and 1.3 steals in that time while shooting 55.1 percent from the floor.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Will play Thursday

Garland (hand) has been cleared to play Thursday against the Timberwolves, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Garland was added to the injury report earlier in the day with a right hand contusion, but he was spotted going through his normal warmups about one hour before tipoff and has since been given the green light to play. He's coming off an impressive 29-point performance against Indiana, his best showing since Dec. 19.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Iffy for Thursday

Garland is questionable for Thursday's game against Minnesota with a right hand contusion.

Garland was a very late addition to the injury report, and that's usually not a good sign in fantasy hoops. Garland was terrific Tuesday against Indiana, finishing with 29 points (14-23 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six assists and two rebounds across 33 minutes. Craig Porter and Lonzo Ball may be asked to step up if Garland is unable to clear this questionable tag.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Drops 29 points in win

Garland contributed 29 points (14-23 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six assists and two rebounds across 33 minutes in Tuesday's 120-116 win over Indiana.

With Donovan Mitchell (rest) unavailable, Garland took on an increased workload on the offensive end and led all players in scoring, finishing with more than 25 points for the first time since Dec. 22. However, the star point guard struggled from beyond the arc once again, and he has shot just 25.8 percent from three-point range over his last five outings. On a more positive note, he led the first unit in assists Tuesday, dishing out at least six dimes for a fifth straight game.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Hits for 16 in Sunday's loss

Garland totaled 16 points (7-15 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 loss to the Pistons.

It was another productive performance from Garland, who's scored in double digits with at least six assists in 11 of the last 12 games. Over that stretch, the 25-year-old point guard is averaging 19.3 points, 7.4 assists, 2.6 threes, 2.4 boards and 0.8 steals per tilt.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Looks less than 100 percent in loss

Garland (illness) posted 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and one assist over 24 minutes during Saturday's 117-100 loss to the Rockets.

The 25-year-old guard was dealing with a bug Saturday, and it showed in his final line as he set season lows in both boards and assists. Garland has still scored in double digits in nine straight games as he looks to put an injury-plagued start to the campaign behind him, averaging 20.0 points, 6.9 assists, 2.8 threes, 2.7 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game over that span.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Will suit up Saturday

Garland (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Garland was a late addition to the injury report Saturday due to an illness, though he will shed his probable tag. Over his last five outings, the 25-year-old point guard has averaged 21.4 points, 8.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 54.3 percent from beyond the arc in 31.6 minutes per game.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Dealing with illness

Garland (illness) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Rockets.

Garland was a late addition to the injury report after presumably waking up under the weather Saturday. Still, the star point guard is likely to suit up against Houston. Over his last five outings, Garland has averaged 21.4 points, 8.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 54.3 percent from beyond the arc in 31.6 minutes per tilt.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Double-double in road loss

Garland totaled 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and 10 assists across 36 minutes during Thursday's 126-124 loss to the Knicks.

The 25-year-old guard delivered his second 20-10 double-double in the last three games, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of the last six. Garland has looked good since finally putting some lingering toe soreness behind him, and over the last eight contests he's averaging 21.0 points, 7.6 assists, 3.0 boards, 2.9 threes and 1.0 steals in 33.0 minutes.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Good to go Tuesday

Garland (quadriceps) is available for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Garland will shed his questionable tag Tuesday due to a left quadriceps contusion and suit up in both halves of a back-to-back set for the first time this season. The seventh-year point guard has been productive of late, averaging 25.8 points, 8.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting 53.1 percent from three-point range in his last four outings.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Listed as questionable

Garland is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans with a left quadriceps contusion.

Garland is at risk of missing the second leg of Cleveland's back-to-back. With Lonzo Ball resting Tuesday, Sam Merrill could be worth streaming in shallow fantasy leagues and Craig Porter in deeper settings.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Double-doubles with two steals

Garland racked up 27 points (9-15 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Monday's 139-132 win over the Hornets.

Garland has been shooting the lights out from distance over the past four games, going 17-for-32 from beyond the arc, and he's been impressive as a playmaker as well. Over that four-game stretch, Garland has put up top-50 numbers with averages of 23.0 points, 7.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 triples and 1.3 steals per contest. He clearly felt healthy during Monday's matchup, and he stated after the game that he intends to play in the second half of his team's back-to-back Tuesday against the Pelicans, per Danny Cunningham of Locked on Cavs.
