Achiuwa chipped in 29 points (12-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal across 41 minutes during Thursday's 133-123 loss to the Pelicans.
The 29 points led all scorers on the night, while the 12 boards led all rebounders. Achiuwa has seven double-doubles on the season, with four of them coming in the last eight games. During that stretch, he's averaging 17.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks in 32.3 minutes while shooting 59.4 percent from the floor.

Kings' Precious Achiuwa: Continues strong play as fill-in
Achiuwa recorded 18 points (8-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 114-103 loss to Phoenix.
Achiuwa has settled into a consistent role during Keegan Murray's (ankle) injury. Murray will be out for at least another week, making the sixth-year pro a popular fantasy add off the waiver wire. Although Achiuwa will be free to shop himself around in the offseason, it may be hard to find the kind of playing time he could receive with the rebuilding Kings. Over nine starting appearances, Achiuwa has averaged 13.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.7 steals.

Achiuwa (coach's decision) went unused off the bench Wednesday in the Kings' 129-125 loss to the Grizzlies.
Achiuwa had started each of the Kings' previous 13 games, but after playing less than 15 minutes in both of the past two contests, head coach Doug Christie opted to move him to the bench against Memphis. With De'Andre Hunter making his team debut Wednesday and fortifying the Kings' depth at forward, Achiuwa was dropped from the rotation entirely as Christie instead added guard Devin Carter (24 minutes) to the second unit to compensate for the losses of two backcourt players in Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis, who were traded to Cleveland in the Hunter deal. Unless Sacramento is without one of its key frontcourt options in a given game moving forward, Achiuwa could find himself out of the rotation for the foreseeable future.

The Kings have tried to patch the gap left by Domantas Sabonis (knee) with mixed success, but the combo of Achiuwa and Maxime Raynaud has been somewhat effective. If Murray is held out for additional games, we may see a similar spike in Achiuwa's production as 2025 comes to a close.
