Magic's Cole Anthony: Serviceable performance in win
Anthony produced 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 102-86 victory over the Hornets.
Anthony produced another serviceable performance, continuing to start for the injured Jalen Suggs (quad). Despite the role, Anthony has been inconsistent on both ends of the floor. Over the past four games, he is averaging just 9.5 points and 1.3 steals in 20.7 minutes per game despite having started in all four contests.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Part of first unit
Anthony will start Wednesday's game against the Kings.
Anthony will supplant Anthony Black in the first unit Wednesday, and his move into the starting lineup comes after back-to-back 20-point games. In eight starts this season, Anthony is averaging 17.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals across 31.5 minutes.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Scores team-high 26 points
Anthony ended with 26 points (11-21 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 104-99 loss to the Warriors.
Although Anthony Black started at point guard Monday evening, he faded into the woodwork early, ceding most of the load to Anthony. It marked Anthony's second straight game off the bench with 20-plus points, continuing a trend where they ride the hot hand out of the gate. The negative correlation between the two guards dilutes the fantasy value of both players, with neither player gaining an upper hand in the scoring column. It's unclear when Jalen Suggs (quad) will be able to suit up again, though he was initially listed as questionable for this contest.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Scores 23 points off bench Saturday
Anthony ended Saturday's 113-99 loss to the Jazz with 23 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 27 minutes.
Anthony and Franz Wagner (37 points) were the only Magic players to score in double digits Saturday as Orlando shot 33.0 percent from the field and went 9-for-41 from three-point range. Anthony has scored in double digits off the bench in two straight games and appears to be getting more acclimated to his reserve role. He'll look to stay on track against the Warriors on Monday.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Scores 16 points off bench
Anthony supplied 16 points (6-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, two assists, one block and one steal across 24 minutes during Thursday's 119-90 loss to Portland.
Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero carried the way for the Magic in this loss, but Anthony managed to deliver a solid stat line despite coming off the bench. The lack of consistency on a game-to-game basis remains an issue for the fifth-year veteran, and the return to the bench suggests he won't carry a lot of fantasy upside in most formats going forward, especially if Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) returns to action soon.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Limited role in return
Anthony (illness) provided seven points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and three rebounds over 19 minutes during Saturday's 121-113 victory over the Pistons.
Anthony returned from a two-game absence due to an illness and was limited to a bench role while Jalen Suggs (back) started in his return from injury. Suggs was forced out of the game in the second half due to an apparent knee injury, which could open up more minutes for Anthony in the Magic's next game Monday in Miami if Suggs is unable to play.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Good to go Saturday vs. Detroit
Anthony (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
Anthony will return Saturday from a two-game absence due to an illness. He was in the Magic's starting lineup for the eight games prior to his absence, and over that span, he averaged 17.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals over 31.5 minutes per contest. Anthony will come off the bench while Jalen Suggs (back) returns to the starting lineup, per Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel.

Anthony (illness) didn't participate in shootaround ahead of Saturday's game versus the Pistons, Dan Savage of the Magic's official site reports.
Anthony is officially listed as questionable Saturday after missing Orlando's previous two contests due to an illness. However, Anthony's participation in shootaround is a good sign of his availability against Detroit.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Game-time call for Saturday
Anthony (illness) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pistons.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Won't go Thursday
Anthony (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Portland.
Anthony will miss his second consecutive contest due to an illness, and his next chance to suit up will come Saturday against Detroit. The 24-year-old has been a mainstay in the starting five with Jalen Suggs (back) on the shelf, meaning Anthony Black should continue to receive an increased role.

Anthony (illness) didn't participate in shootaround ahead of Thursday's game versus the Trail Blazers, Jake Chapman of the Magic Radio Network reports.
Anthony is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's contest due to an illness. However, the 24-year-old guard's absence from shootaround is a bad sign of his availability against Portland.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Iffy for Thursday
Anthony (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game against Portland.
After missing Tuesday's game against the Raptors with an illness, Anthony's game status remains up in the air against the Blazers. The Magic will likely wait until closer to Thursday's tipoff before updating the guard's designation. If Anthony remains out, Anthony Black would be primed to make another spot start at point guard for Orlando.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Iffy due to illness
Anthony is now questionable for Tuesday's game against the Raptors due to illness.
Anthony was a late addition to the injury report, along with Jonathan Isaac (illness). That's typically not a great sign in terms of availability, and the Magic are already thin in their backcourt without Jalen Suggs (back). If Anthony can't go, the Magic could need Anthony Black to step into a much more significant role.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Out with illness
Anthony (illness) is out for Tuesday's game against the Raptors.
With Jalen Suggs (back) joining Anthony on the sidelines for the Magic on Tuesday, fantasy managers can expect Anthony Black to handle a much larger role and likely offer enhanced fantasy value. Anthony's next chance to return is Thursday against Portland.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Leader in scoring in defeat
Anthony contributed 23 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes during Friday's 121-94 loss to the Celtics.
Anthony led the way for Orlando on the offensive end of the court, leading all Magic players in scoring, shots made and threes and finishing second on the team in rebounds in Friday's losing effort. Anthony has surpassed the 20-point mark in four outings this season, doing so in two of his last three outings.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Stays hot in win
Anthony scored 25 points (11-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), dished four assists, grabbed three boards and recorded two steals in Sunday's 102-99 win over the 76ers.
It seemed as though he had taken a leap at times last season, but Anthony has remained a backup during the current campaign. However, with Jalen Suggs (back) out again Sunday, Anthony stepped into the starting lineup and delivered once again. He's now averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the last five games with the first unit, his only starts of the season. Suggs remains day-to-day, and until he can return, Anthony should continue to start. His next opportunity to take the floor comes Wednesday against the Bucks.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Hits for 18 in Friday's loss
Anthony logged 18 points (5-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Friday's 109-106 loss to Milwaukee.
Making his fourth straight start, Anthony produced another solid stat line. He's supplied at least 12 points in all four starts, averaging 16.5 points, 5.3 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals, and his role in the Orlando backcourt could grow even further if the knee injury Kentavious Caldwell-Pope picked up Friday ends up putting him on the shelf next to Jalen Suggs (back).

Magic's Cole Anthony: Sparks offense in starting lineup
Anthony ended with 12 points (5-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five assists, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals over 27 minutes in Thursday's 104-89 loss to Minnesota.
Anthony remained in the starting lineup Thursday as Jalen Suggs recovers from a back injury, providing a lift to Orlando offensively while leading all Magic players in assists and concluding as one of five players with a double-digit point total. Anthony has reached double figures in scoring in 10 outings this season, handing out five or more dimes in three of those contests.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Leads Orlando in scoring
Anthony produced 24 points (9-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 103-94 victory over the Knicks.
With Jalen Suggs (back) joining Paolo Banchero (oblique) and Franz Wagner (oblique) in street clothes Monday, Anthony saw a prominent offensive role. He led the team in scoring and reached the 20-point mark for the second time in 2024-25. Don't rule Anthony out from being a viable offensive weapon for the Magic as long as he continues to start in a depleted backcourt. However, Suggs and Banchero may return to action later this week.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Struggles from field
Anthony accumulated 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds and three blocks over 28 minutes during Sunday's 105-92 loss to the Jazz.
Anthony had a solid showing as a defensive presence, particularly with his three blocks, but the shooting woes can't be overlooked. Anthony made his first start of the season Sunday and could remain in that role due to the absence of other guards such as Jalen Suggs (back), Anthony Black (back) and Gary Harris (hamstring), which should translate into an uptick in his fantasy upside for Anthony.
