  • Nuggets' David Roddy: First points as Nugget

Roddy ended with two points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over six minutes during Wednesday's 129-93 win over the Rockets. Roddy logged six minutes during garbage time, scoring his first points as a member of the Nuggets. After signing a two-way contract about a week ago, Roddy appears unlikely to make any real noise, both in fantasy and reality. In fact, with Denver nearing full health, there is a very real chance Roddy's time in Denver could end just as quickly as it began.

  • David Roddy: Waived Thursday

The Raptors waived Roddy on Thursday, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. Roddy might be able to snag a minimum-level deal elsewhere, or he could head on over to Toronto's G League affiliate. He's made 168 regular-season appearances for five different teams over the past three seasons.

  • Raptors' David Roddy: Lands Exhibit 10 deal with Raptors

Roddy has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Raptors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. After being traded to the Hawks and subsequently getting waived by the team, Roddy has quickly latched on with another club. The 24-year-old forward offers Toronto frontcourt depth, but he'll likely need to have an impactful showing during training camp if he wants to make the NBA roster. Although Roddy made 33 appearances across time with Atlanta, Houston and Philadelphia in 2024-25, he also played 12 G League games last year.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Traded to Atlanta

The Rockets traded Roddy to the Hawks as part of a historic seven-team trade that became official Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Roddy started the 2024-25 campaign with the Hawks and was waived Feb. 3. He also had a short stint with the 76ers on a 10-day contract, which was converted to a two-way deal, only to be waived eight days later Feb. 28. The Colorado State product ultimately landed with the Rockets on a two-way contract March 3. He'll now get a fresh start back in Atlanta. The 23-year-old played a total of 33 games during the 2024-25 regular season and averaged 4.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, shooting 45.6 percent from the field.

  • Rockets' David Roddy: Nabs two-way deal

Roddy agreed to a two-way deal with the Rockets on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. The 2022 first-round pick will now move on to the fifth different organization of his career and his third of the season. He began the season in Atlanta and averaged 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12.8 minutes per game over 27 appearances before being waived Feb. 7. Roddy then caught on with the 76ers -- first on a 10-day deal and then a two-way contract -- and appeared in three games before being waived over the weekend. With the Rockets recently upgrading Nate Williams to a standard NBA deal, the team had a open two-way spot and will dedicate it to Roddy, who is unlikely to see much time with the parent club over the final six weeks of the season but should see ample minutes with the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

  • 76ers' David Roddy: Getting two-way contract

Roddy agreed to a two-way contract with the 76ers on Thursday, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com. Roddy will be available for Thursday's contest against the Celtics for the final day of his 10-day deal before being upgraded to a two-way contract Friday, which will open up a spot on the 15-man roster for swingman Lonnie Walker. Since joining the 76ers on Feb. 11, Roddy has yet to appear in any games. He's unlikely to be a regular part of the Philadelphia rotation unless injuries at forward open up opportunities.

  • David Roddy: Cut by Atlanta

The Hawks waived Roddy on Friday. Roddy was acquired by Atlanta via trade with Phoenix this past summer and averaged 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 47.3 percent from the field in 12.8 minutes per game across 27 appearances (three starts) this season. The Hawks had already declined Roddy's $4.83 million team option for 2025-26 in October, so the team's decision to cut him to make room for a slew of trade-deadline acquisitions isn't especially surprising. Once Roddy clears waivers, he could catch on elsewhere at a more team-friendly salary figure.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Back to bench Tuesday

Roddy is coming off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Rockets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. After starting Monday's game against the Timberwolves, Roddy will revert back to Atlanta's bench Tuesday. Roddy has averaged 4.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 threes in 11.7 minutes over 23 games off the bench this season, so his fantasy appeal is muted.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Running with first unit

Roddy is starting Monday's game against the Timberwolves, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports. Roddy will get the nod at power forward due to the unavailability of Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and Larry Nance (hand). Roddy did a bit of everything in his last opportunity as a starter Jan. 15 against Chicago, finishing with four points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals in 24 minutes.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Returning to bench role

Roddy is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Celtics, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. This is not surprising, as the Hawks will welcome Jalen Johnson (shoulder) back into the starting lineup. The move to the bench suggests Roddy's fantasy upside will be minimal for this contest.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Making second start of 2024-25

Roddy is part of the first unit for Wednesday's game against Chicago. The Hawks are without Trae Young (ribs), De'Andre Hunter (foot), Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and Zaccharie Risacher (hip), leaving a spot in the starting five for Roddy. It'll be Roddy's first start since Oct. 30, when he logged 17 points, four rebounds and two steals across 32 minutes.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Efficient in limited run Thursday

Roddy posted 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-3 3Pt) in 10 minutes during Thursday's 123-115 loss to Phoenix. Roddy made the most of his limited playing time during the loss, tying his second-highest scoring mark of the season. The forward has appeared in two of the club's last three outings due to Jalen Johnson (shoulder) being sidelined, during which Roddy has amassed 20 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in 28 total minutes.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Questionable for Wednesday

Roddy (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. De'Andre Hunter (knee) is also questionable, so the Hawks could potentially be very shorthanded. If both players are unable to go, Rowland reports that Larry Nance may have to spend some time at power forward for Atlanta.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Getting starting nod

Roddy will start Wednesday's game against the Wizards, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. With De'Andre Hunter (knee) and Dyson Daniels (hip) out, Roddy will make his first start as a Hawk. He totaled 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists a block and a steal in 39 minutes over his last two appearances.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Future option declined

Roddy's 2025-26 team option was declined by Atlanta on Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Roddy has been sharp across two appearances with Atlanta, compiling 19 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes. His $4.8 million cap hit is enough for Atlanta to send them to free agency at the end of the 2024-25 campaign, however.

  • Hawks' David Roddy: Scores nine off bench

Roddy accumulated nine points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 19 minutes during Monday's 121-119 loss to the Wizards. Due to injuries to Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) and De'Andre Hunter (knee), Roddy has been able to get some rotation minutes in two straight games. He's been solid for the most part, averaging 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 three-pointers in 19.5 minutes during that small sample size.

  • Suns' David Roddy: Fading from relevance

Roddy scored two points (1-1 FG) in five minutes during Monday's 117-111 victory over Cleveland. Roddy has logged double-digit minutes only once across eight appearances since being dealt to Phoenix at the trade deadline. The second-year wing failed to make an impact while Eric Gordon (knee) and Josh Okogie (abdomen) are unavailable bodes extremely poorly for his rest-of-season outlook. Memphis moving on from Roddy less than two full campaigns after drafting him in the first round symbolizes his struggle to carve out a niche in the league thus far.

  • Suns' David Roddy: Available against Warriors

Roddy (trade pending) will be available for Saturday's game against the Warriors. Royce O'Neale is also available to make his debut, and he's more likely to carve out a meaningful role in Phoenix. Roddy made 48 appearances for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 8.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 three-pointers. He shot 40.2 percent from the field and 30.1 percent from beyond the arc, however.

  • Grizzlies' David Roddy: Enters starting lineup

Roddy is starting Sunday's game versus Boston. Roddy, GG Jackson and Luke Kennard represent the only healthy Grizzlies on the wings Sunday. Roddy has averaged 10.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 12 games as a starter this season, but Sunday's adverse circumstances should yield additional usage.

  • Grizzlies' David Roddy: Starting against Heat

Roddy will start Wednesday's game against Miami. Roddy will step into the first unit for the 10th time this season due to the Grizzlies' lengthy injury report. Filling out the remainder of the starting five are Jacob Gilyard, John Konchar, Vince Williams and Jaren Jackson, meaning Roddy should have an expanded offensive role. In his last seven appearances, Roddy is averaging 11.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
