Hornets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Off injury report for Thursday
Evbuomwan (illness) isn't listed on the Hornets' injury report for Thursday's game against the Rockets.
The two-way player appears to have moved past the illness that kept him out for the G League Greensboro Swarm's final two contests before the All-Star break. Though Evbuomwan has rejoined the Hornets, he's unlikely to be included in head coach Charles Lee's rotation.

Tosan Evbuomwan: Cut loose by Knicks
The Knicks will waive Evbuomwan on Wednesday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
Evbuomwan had been occupying one of the Knicks' three two-way spots and had seen most of his playing time in the G League with the Westchester Knicks this season. The third-year forward had been limited to just five appearances at the NBA level, logging eight minutes in total. Expect New York to sign another player in the coming days to fill Evbuomwan's vacated two-way spot.

The Nets waived Evbuomwan on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Evbuomwan made 28 appearances for Brooklyn last season, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. Evbuomwan also spent most of the first half of last year in the G League, so perhaps he'll search for an Exhibit 10 deal with another club ahead of the new campaign.

Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Scores in double figures
Evbuomwan had 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 105-90 loss to Minnesota.
Evbuomwan scored in double figures Thursday for the first time since Feb. 5. The 24-year-old has spent most of the second half of the season in the G League but saw significant playing time due to Cameron Johnson (back), Jalen Wilson (ankle) and Ziaire Williams (rest) being out. With injuries piling up and the season nearing a close for the Nets, Evbuomwan could continue to see the floor.

Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Productive off bench
Evbuomwan notched 15 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Monday's 110-96 loss to the Kings.
Evbuomwan snapped out of a brutal slump with this performance. In his previous four games, Evbuomwan was held to single-digit points in each game while shooting a combined 7-of-32 from the field. With the Nets so shorthanded, Evbuomwan is a name to watch in case he can string together a few good performances.

Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Scores five points in loss
Evbuomwan ended with five points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 99-95 loss to New York.
Cameron Johnson appeared to suffer an injury during Tuesday's 99-95 loss to the Knicks, and he may be held out Wednesday against the Suns. The Nets are pretty shorthanded right now, so Evbuomwan could be a candidate for increased run. In 10 appearances for the Nets, Evbuomwan has fared well with 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 three-pointers on 51.7 percent shooting from the field.

Nets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Sets new career-high scoring mark
Evbuomwan accumulated 22 points (7-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Sunday's 112-111 overtime loss to the Jazz.
Evbuomwan turned more than a few heads with his play Sunday, as he led the Nets in scoring despite coming off the bench while missing just one of his eight shots from the field. This was a new career-high mark by a wide margin, and he's also scored in double digits in his last three outings, so he might be in line for an uptick in playing time in the coming weeks given Brooklyn's depleted roster.

Evbuomwan and the Nets agreed to a two-way contract Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

He's been a standout performer thus far in the G League with the San Diego Clippers, appearing in 16 contests while averaging 18.4 points in 32.6 minutes per contest and shooting 51.9 percent from the field. The 6-foot-7 forward will occupy one of the Nets' three two-way slots and could end up being a factor in Brooklyn's rotation at some point this season, but most of his initial playing time in his new organization is likely to come with the G League's Long Island Nets.
