  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Scores 11 in start

Da Silva supplied 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Sunday's 121-94 victory over Washington. With Paolo Banchero (oblique) on the shelf, Da Silva made his fifth straight start, and he certainly held his own. Banchero is expected to miss several weeks of action, making Da Silva an intriguing player to watch. In seven appearances this season, Da Silva has averaged 8.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 24.6 minutes.

  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Making first career start

Da Silva will start Sunday's game against the Mavericks. Anthony Black got the first crack at replacing Paolo Banchero (oblique) in the starting lineup, but da Silva gets the nod Sunday, marking his first career regular-season start. After not being part of the rotation to begin his rookie season, da Silva posted 17 points, five rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes during Friday's loss to the Cavaliers, which was his first extended action of the season.

  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Best outing of season in loss

Da Silva closed with 17 points (6-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 20 minutes during Friday's 120-109 loss to the Cavaliers. Da Silva provided a much-needed spark off the Magic bench in Friday's defeat, putting together his best performance of his young career while setting season-high and career-high marks in every statistical category. Da Silva, who was selected 18th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, got his first meaningful playing time of the year after playing only five minutes prior to Friday's outing.

  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Questionable for Monday

Da Silva (illness) is questionable for Monday's game versus the Pacers. Da Silva is in danger of missing his third straight game, though he played only five minutes in the regular-season opener. The rookie's absence shouldn't cause any waves in the rotation, but if he is unable to go his next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Bulls.

  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Scores 23 in SL

Da Silva recorded 23 points (8-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Sunday's 91-86 win over the Pelicans in the Summer League. Da Silva built upon a 13-point outing in Friday's win over the Cavaliers with a 23-point outburst against the Pelicans Sunday. The Colorado product has been a highly efficient scorer, shooting 57.9 percent from the floor and 54.5 percent from three. Despite the strong start to Summer League, Da Silva will face an uphill battle to a significant role for the Magic come the regular season due to their depth at the wing positions.

  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Selected No. 18 by Orlando

The Magic selected Da Silva with the No. 18 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday. Da Silva spent four years at Colorado and finished his senior year with averages of 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 triples, 1.1 steals and 1.8 turnovers per game on 49.3 percent shooting from the floor and 83.5 percent at the charity stripe. While he's not quite elite in any one area, he does have a nice feel for the game and plays with a lot of effort on defense. He projects as a solid role player, although it could be tough for him to find minutes early on, as he'll be battling with Joe Ingles, Anthony Black and Jonathan Isaac for the reserve forward minutes behind Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero.
