Dickinson was aggressive hunting his shot Saturday and finished with a game-high 21 points. The big man also led all players in triples made and was third on the Pelicans in assists. The 25-year-old signed another two-way pact with New Orleans and figures to spend most of his time with the club's G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, in 2026-27.

  • Pelicans' Hunter Dickinson: Re-signs with New Orleans

Dickinson signed a two-way contract with the Pelicans on Tuesday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.

Dickinson was also signed to a two-way deal with the Pelicans last season, during which he averaged 2.4 points in 8.4 minutes per game across just five regular-season appearances. He'll likely continue spending most of his time with the Pelicans' G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, in 2026-27.

  • Pelicans' Hunter Dickinson: Plays season-high 21 minutes

Dickinson closed Sunday's 132-126 loss to Minnesota with six points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 21 minutes.

Dickinson spent the vast majority of his time with the G League's Birmingham Squadron in 2025-26, and he's next set for unrestricted free agency this offseason. The Kansas product averaged 2.4 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 8.4 minutes per tilt through five NBA games this season, and it remains to be seen if the Pelicans will be interested in bringing him back ahead of training camp in the fall.

  • Pelicans' Hunter Dickinson: Removed from injury report

Dickinson (personal) isn't listed on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Dickinson sat out the G League Birmingham Squadron's season finale last Friday due to a personal matter, but he's rejoined the Pelicans ahead of Thursday's contest. The rookie big man hasn't made an appearance at the NBA level since the Pelicans' Oct. 22 season opener and isn't guaranteed to be active Thursday.

  • Pelicans' Hunter Dickinson: Notches 12 points

Dickinson logged 12 points (6-9 FG), five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 23 minutes of Thursday's 132-125 preseason loss to Orlando.

Kevon Looney is expected to miss two to three weeks due to a proximal tibiofibular ligament, potentially opening some minutes up in the frontcourt. Derik Queen is still rehabbing from wrist surgery, so Dickinson has a chance to enter the rotation behind Yves Missi. Dickinson would likely need to outplay Karlo Matkovic for that to happen, however.
