DE-DT Garrett Brown (undrafted, Minnesota) has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2012 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances, according to the team’s website.
Brown will remain eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games. He is eligible to return to the Chargers’ active roster on Monday, October 1 following the team’s September 30 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brown had missed the last several practices and was a long-shot to make the 53-man roster. His chances now are virtually non-existent. It also is extremely unlikely Brown will be considered for the practice squad.
