The Browns have waived second-year cornerback Trevin Wade, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The team dropped Wade after being awarded linebacker Eric Martin, who was placed on waivers by New Orleans.
Wade entered camp with high expectations, but sprained his shoulder making an interception. He received some playing time in the secondary last season after being drafted in the seventh round.
Martin, who played in all three of the Saints' preseason games and registered one special teams tackle, will likely play for the Browns Thursday night in Chicago.
