Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's (ribs) status for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Broncos is uncertain, MLive.com reports.
Stafford was battered during Sunday's loss to the Vikings, suffering a rib injury along the way that required post-game X-rays. While coach Jim Caldwell declined to reveal the results of Stafford's medical tests, he did say that Stafford is 'very, very sore' from the hits he sustained in Week 2.
As a result, Stafford's participation level during practice this week should be rather worthwhile to monitor, as it's unclear whether he'll be healthy enough for the Lions' upcoming home opener against the Broncos.
