Andrew Luck and the Colts lead the Cincinnati Bengals 13-10 at halftime. Luck had a very good first half; he completed 16-of-27 passes for 219 yards. But it could have been even better, had a number of Colts not dropped some very catchable passes.
That's three drops alone right there, and T.Y. Hilton dropped another one later in the first half, giving him three in all. The Colts had an NFL-high 40 drops in the regular season, but Hilton only had five. He caught just four of the 11 passes directed his way in the first half, though, for a catch rate of 36.4 percent, significantly lower than his 66.7 percent regular season mark.
One of Hilton's drops was a potential touchdown, but the Colts wound up scoring later on that same drive, with a 2-yard run by Dan Herron. Herron had a solid first half with five carries for 34 yards and six catches for another 61 yards, but he also had this fumble late in the first half to set up a Mike Nugent field goal that cut the lead to three.
