NFL preseason live scores, updates, highlights: Browns QBs underwhelm; Justin Fields makes Chiefs debut

Just because the starters aren't playing doesn't mean that there aren't any big plays happening in Seattle. Camden Brown, for example, just made an awesome, one-handed TD catch that gave the Cowboys the lead. 

Kelee Ringo just made one of the nicest interceptions you'll ever see. He perfectly undercut the route while coming down with the pick and keeping his feet in bounds. The pick prevented the Ravens from adding to their 7-0 lead. 

A former fifth-round pick, Ringo is entering his fourth season with the Eagles. 

Seattle's title defense "officially" starts with a Drew Lock TD pass to Montorie Foster Jr. The score capped off a 13-play, 80-yard drive that started the game. 

Baltimore's celebrated rookie found paydirt in the second quarter of Baltimore's preseason opener. Lane's score follows what has been an impressive training camp for the 80th overall pick. 

Dallas' is sticking to the traditional philosophy of resting its starters for the preseason opener. The Cowboys will instead give the backups and the players who are fighting for spots on the 53-man roster the full workload. 

Justin Fields put up solid numbers during his NFL debut. He went 4 of 4 for 41 yards and ran for nine yards on two carries. The Chiefs didn't score on either of his two drives, though, so the performance left something to be desired in that regard. 

Rams' first-round pick quarterback Ty Simpson completed 21 of 25 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns in his NFL preseason debut. 

Threw the ball with confidence, played within the offense and took what the Chiefs defense gave him. 

Ben Johnson revealed after Chicago's win that WR coach Antwaan Randle El served as the team's play caller during the second half. The Bears scored 24 of their 34 points in the second half. 

Former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson has his eyes set on the Saints' No. 2 QB job, and he put together an impressive first half on Saturday. He completed 7 of 12 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown, and also had this nice one-on-one throw down the sideline. Not the Zach Wilson we've seen before. 

Chiefs rookie WR Cyrus Allen has been making waves in training camp, and he's been a key standout early in this one. He has two catches for 20 yards, including this grab where he showed off his hops. 

Good things usually don't happen when your young quarterbacks holds onto the ball and tries to take on several defensive linemen 10 yards from your own end zone. The Saints coaching staff is not going to be happy with this play from Spencer Rattler. 

Kevin O'Connell has confirmed that Jamal Adams' knee injury is a pretty significant one. Adams was carted off during today's 13-10 win over the Giants. 

Adams, a former Pro Bowler, was signed to provide some depth and experience behind Joshua Metullus and Jakobe Thomas. 

Bengals former first-round pick Myles Murphy was just carted into the locker room. While it didn't look good initially, The Athletic has reported that Murphy went in for an IV after suffering from muscle cramps.

Cincinnati is already dealing with injuries to fellow defensive linemen Shemar Stewart and B.J. Hill. Hill was cleared to resume practicing; Stewart is still out with a hyperextended knee. 

The Jaguars were close to responding to the Saints' quick start, but Nick Mullens threw an ugly red-zone interception in the middle of the field 

Saints running back Ty Chandler took the opening kickoff back 86 yards to set New Orleans up with great field position in their first exhibition matchup against the Jaguars. 

That set Audric Estime up with a 9-yard touchdown run on the very next play. 

A nifty TD run by Coleman Bennett just about wraps up this one from the Windy Cindy. Bennett broke a tackle in the backfield before out-running two Browns defenders to paydirt. 

Total domination from Chicago in the second half. 

Shedeur Sanders' impressive start didn't last long. His third and final drive ended with a bad interception to Beanie Biship Jr., who would record his second pick of the half (off Dillon Gabriel) on Cleveland's next drive. 

Sanders went 6 of 11 for 79 yards with a pick and a 39.6 passer rating. 

Myles Price just did his best Randy Moss/Cris Carter impression by making a one-handed TD catch. Last season, Price was one of seven undrafted free agents that made the Vikings' 53-man roster last year. 

Shedeur moved the Browns inside the Bears' 5-yard-line on the strength of 24 and 35-yard completions. The Browns came up empty, however, when they were stonewalled on a fourth-and-1 run. 

Chicago took a 17-10 lead early in the third quarter on Salvon Ahmed's 49-yard score off of a screen pass. Ahmed, 27, broke into the NFL in 2020 and signed with the Bears in May. He spent the entire 2025 season recovering from an ankle injury that was sustained during training camp. 

Shedeur Sanders has relieved Deshaun Watson for the second half of Cleveland's game vs. the Bears. In the first half, Watson went 11 of 15 for 126 yards with no touchdowns, no interceptions and one sack. He gained just four yards on three carries while helping lead two scoring drives. 

Davis caught each of his four targets for 88 yards in the game's first 30 minutes. The 27-year-old went undrafted back in 2022 and has played for four NFL teams and two UFL teams over that span. 

In college, Davis had a productive career at Northwest Missouri State. In 2021, he led the Bearcats with 10 touchdown receptions and 714 receiving yards. 

The first opposing score at the new Highmark Stadium was courtesy of Kenny Pickett and Ja'Seem Reed. The score -- which occurred just before halftime -- cut the Panthers' deficit to 13-7 at halftime. 

Pickett was 3 of 3 for 28 yards on the drive and also had an 11-yard run. He entered the game after Bryce Young was unable to generate any scoring drives in three series of work. 

Giants fans gave Odell Beckham Jr. a raucous ovation after he entered the game late in the second quarter. Beckham, a three-time Pro Bowler during his initial tenure with Big Blue, is trying to make the team's 53-man roster. 

Beckham, 33, played for the Browns, Rams, Ravens and Dolphins in between his Giants stints. He helped the Rams win the Super Bowl at the end of the 2021 season. 

The drive included his first catch at MetLife Stadium as a Giant since 2018. 

Maurice Alexander flashed his speed on this crossing route, and scores from 25 yards out to get the Bears on the board. 

Watson was putting together a solid drive, but then Jamree Kromah got to Watson during his throwing motion, and knocked the ball loose. Kromah also recovered the fumble he forced. Ugly play, but it happened quickly with RT Austin Barber getting pushed backwards. 

Deshaun Watson is 8/9 for 102 yards, and has led two scoring drives, but is 2/5 on third down. He hasn't been incredible, but hasn't been bad. He's run the offense and taken what the Bears' starting defense has given to him. Now that we are into the second quarter, you have to wonder when Shedeur Sanders is coming in. 

Giants QB Jaxson Dart had to exit the game after taking a huge sack, but he returned and immediately found rookie wideout Malachi Fields for the first TD of the year. 

Fields is a massive 6-foot-4 target. Dart threw it up and let the big man make a big play.
