Riley Cooper: Not expected to be signed by Bucs
Cooper, who participated in the Bucs' rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis this weekend, is not expected to be signed by the team in the near future, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Bucs opted to kick the tires on the 29-year-old this weekend, but it doesn't appear the veteran did enough to warrant an immediate signing. Naturally, that doesn't close the door on a possible return later in the summer, and Cooper notably already has an advocate on the club in former Eagles teammate DeSean Jackson. However, the additions of Jackson, third-round pick Chris Godwin and promising CFL standout Derel Walker in the offseason have added to a crowded and much deeper wideout corps than the team boasted a year ago at this point. Additionally, after being out of the NFL last season, Cooper was unsurprisingly fighting off some rust throughout the three-day mini-camp.

Riley Cooper: Trying out with Tampa
Cooper will have a tryout with the Buccaneers during their rookie camp, Adam Caplan of ESPN.com reports.
Cooper hasn't played in the league since the Eagles released him following the 2015 season. At 29, it's tough to gauge how much Cooper has left in the tank, as he only recorded 21 receptions for 327 yards and two touchdowns during his final season in Philadelphia.
