Andre Smith: Earns tryout with Saints
Smith received a tryout with the Saints on Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Smith started the 2021 campaign with the Ravens after opting out of the 2020 season. He mostly appeared on special teams when he was active on game day. Smith was eventually released on Nov. 2 after ending up on the practice squad injured list with an undisclosed injury. The 34-year-old veteran is likely nearing the end of the career, but he will hope to prove he still has enough gas left in the tank to help another club, if not the Saints.

Andre Smith: Reaches injury settlement
Smith (undisclosed) was released from Baltimore's practice squad injured list Tuesday with an injury settlement, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Smith was set to spend at least the next three weeks on the injured list, but he's now free to sign with another team, assuming he can pass a physical examination.

Smith is a vested veteran so he is free to sign with any team that has interest in him. He appeared in 110 games -- 93 starts -- during his first four seasons in the NFL. However, the 34-year-old veteran opted out of the 2020 campaign and may be nearing the end of his career.
