Webb officially announced his retirement Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Lardarius Webb: Released by Ravens
Webb was released by the Ravens on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
The Ravens save only $1.75 million in cap space by cutting Webb, so this transaction was likely more of a football decision than a financial one. Baltimore still has a solid group of cornerbacks without him, considering the team will have Marlon Humphrey, Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr all back under contract for 2018.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Will play Sunday
Webb (concussion) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Webb practiced fully Thursday and Friday and is apparently clear of the concussion. The 32-year-old should play his usual depth role in the secondary, but may be the Ravens' primary punt returner with Michael Campanaro (shoulder) inactive Sunday.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Questionable for Week 9
Webb (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game agaist the Titans.
Webb practiced without restrictions Thursday and Friday, so seems to be on track to play. However, with Michael Campanaro (shoulder) already ruled out, Webb's potential absence would force the Ravens to dig deep at punt returner.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Full participant Thursday
Webb (knee) logged a full practice Thursday.
Webb was limited Wednesday, but it looks like the team was just being cautious. Assuming he avoids a setback, the 32-year-old looks on track to take on his typical role as a primary backup in the secondary in Week 9.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Questionable to play
Webb (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Webb was added to the injury report Thursday after suffering an undisclosed knee injury in practice. However, the fact he made it back for a limited session Friday suggests the issue isn't all that severe. As someone who's logged at least 40 defensive snaps in four of six games this season, Webb's potential absence Sunday could thrust rookie Chuck Clark into an expanded role.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Posts sack Sunday
Webb recorded three tackles, one sack and a forced fumble Sunday against the Bears.
Webb played just 24 snaps Sunday, so his low tackle count is justified. Stats such as sacks, pass breakups and interceptions have served as a crutch to his otherwise low fantasy performances. However, until he can start consistently playing more than 45 snaps, his IDP value likely will remain stagnant.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Records first sack of 2017
Webb had three tackles and notched his first sack of the season in Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Steelers.
The veteran played 48 of a possible 76 snaps Sunday as Baltimore mostly leaned on Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr, Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson in its base defense. Still, Webb managed to make three tackles from his spot in the secondary and also brought down Ben Roethlisberger for his first sack of 2017. Webb generally doesn't play a sufficient percentage of Baltimore's defensive snaps to make much of an impact in the tackling category, however.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Interception in win
Webb recorded four tackles, two passes defensed and one interception in Sunday's win over the Browns.
Webb now has an interception in each of the first two games this season, which is great to see considering he only played in two games last year due to injury. The Ravens boast a ton of talent in their secondary, which should benefit Webb throughout the season.

Ravens' Lardarius Webb: Rejoins Ravens on three-year deal
Webb has signed a three-year deal with the Ravens, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
As expected, Webb and the Ravens worked out an agreement for him to return to the team after being released in March to free up cap room, which the Ravens used to help sign safety Tony Jefferson and cornerback Brandon Carr. While the specifics of the deal haven't been announced yet, it's assumed that Webb will be signing at a discount considering his market value was seemingly lower than he had anticipated. Though he has 82 career starts under his belt, Webb will likely have to play a depth role for the team or accept a job as the nickelback considering that the Ravens improved their secondary this offseason.
