  • Chiefs' Stefen Wisniewski: Signs to active roster

Wisniewski was promoted to the Chiefs' active roster from the practice squad Saturday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.

The 31-year-old was elevated from the practice squad as an extra player for Kansas City earlier in December, but he's now earned a longer-term spot on the roster. Wisniewski will provide depth on the interior of the offensive line for the Chiefs.

  • Chiefs' Stefen Wisniewski: Jumps to active roster

The Chiefs elevated Wisniewski (pectoral) to the active roster Saturday.

Wisniewski began the year with Pittsburgh and started the season opener, but he suffered a pectoral injury that landed him on IR. He was eventually waived. The longtime Chief is back home, and he'll add depth on the offensive line as the team looks to defend its title.

  • Stefen Wisniewski: Heads to waivers

The Steelers waived Wisniewski (pectoral) on Saturday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Wisniewski was injured in the season opener and landed on injured reserve. He was just activated earlier this week, but he appears to still be bothered by the injury. Nevertheless, he'll be able to sign with another team once he's fully healthy.

  • Steelers' Stefen Wisniewski: Doubtful for Sunday

Wisniewski (pectoral) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game in Dallas, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

The Steelers activated Wisniewski from IR earlier this week, but it doesn't look like he's yet ready to retake the field. It may fall to Matt Feiler to draw another start at left guard in Dallas.

  • Steelers' Stefen Wisniewski: Rejoins active roster

Wisniewski (chest) was activated to the active roster Wednesday.

Linebacker Ulysees Gilbert was placed on IR in a corresponding move. Wisniewski should return to the starting left guard spot Sunday in Dallas.

  • Steelers' Stefen Wisniewski: Trending in right direction

Wisniewski (chest) returned to practice with the team Wednesday, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Wisniewski suffered the chest injury in Week 1's win over the Giants, and now that he's returned to practice, the team will have 21 days to active him off injured reserve. If the Penn State product is healthy enough for a return, he'll likely assume his usual starting role at left guard.

  • Steelers' Stefen Wisniewski: Lands on IR

Wisniewski (chest) was placed on IR on Friday.

This news rules Wisniewski out for Sunday's game against Denver and two more after that, so the earliest he can return will be Week 5 against the Eagles. Pittsburgh promoted fellow offensive lineman Derwin Gray from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

  • Steelers' Stefen Wisniewski: Ruled out Monday

Wisniewski (pectoral) was ruled out from returning to Monday's contest against the Giants, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Wisniewski was among a growing list of Steelers' offensive lineman to go down on Monday night. While he won't be needed to seal the win, his status heading into the team's Week 2 contest against the Broncos is unclear.
