McClain was waived by the Raiders on Tuesday.

  • Raiders' Terrell McClain: Sitting out against Bengals

McClain (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

McClain suited up in the last two games for the Raiders, making two tackles. The veteran is a healthy scratch now, though, so Maurice Hurst, Johnathan Hankins and P.J. Hall will serve as Oakland's only defensive tackles.

McClain signed a contract with the Raiders on Wednesday.

McClain was let go by Kansas City in mid-October after a brief stint with the team but will now remain in the AFC West. The 31-year-old should provide depth on the interior defensive line for Oakland.

  • Chiefs' Terrell McClain: Signs with Chiefs

McClain agreed to a deal with the Chiefs on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

McClain was brought in due to multiple injuries on the Chiefs' defensive line. Starting tackle Chris Jones (groin) and reserve Xavier Williams (ankle) are both considered doubtful for Sunday's matchup against the Texans. McClain, a nine-year veteran, has been around the league during his tenure. He most recently played 13 games, including five starts, for the Falcons in 2018.

  • Terrell McClain: Released by Arizona

McClain was released by the Cardinals on Monday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

  • Cardinals' Terrell McClain: Signing with Arizona

McClain agreed Wednesday with the Cardinals on a one-year contract, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

McClain started five of 13 games he spent with Washington last season and finished with 17 tackles and a sack. The 30-year-old may not be the same player he was during his prime days with Dallas from 2014 through 2016, but McClain could still serve as a quality part of the defensive-line rotation in Arizona.

  • Falcons' Terrell McClain: Suits up for 13 games in 2018

McClain accounted for 17 tackles and one sack for the Falcons in 2018.

A journeyman playing for his third team in as many years, McClain suited up 13 times for a Falcons defense that ranked eighth worst against the run in 2018. He's mostly contributed as a rotational player across eight pro seasons, but his five starts this season were the second most for McClain since his rookie campaign of 2011 with the Panthers. McClain's future in Atlanta remains up in the air with his contract expiring this winter, and the promising Deadrin Senat potentially looking at an increased workload at nose tackle moving forward.

  • Falcons' Terrell McClain: Practices in full

McClain (toe) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

McClain sat out Atlanta's win over the Cardinals in Week 15 due to a toe injury but now appears to be nearing a full recovery. If the veteran defensive end is able to suit up against the Panthers on Sunday, expect him to slot back into his usual starting role.

  • Falcons' Terrell McClain: Won't play Week 15

McClain (toe) will not suit up against the Cardinals on Sunday, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.

McClain will miss his first game of the season due to a toe injury. As long as the veteran defensive tackle remains sidelined, expect Deadrin Senat to benefit from an uptick in defensive snaps.

  • Falcons' Terrell McClain: Looking to fill void at defensive tackle

McClain will be competing with rookie Deadrin Senat for a starting defensive tackle spot alongside Grady Jarrett, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Atlanta signed McClain to a one-year contract in May to be a rotational player at the very least, if not a candidate to fill the vacant starting role at defensive tackle that arose when Dontari Poe departed for Carolina during free agency. Defensive line coach Bryant Young said of McClain earlier this offseason, "He's a guy that's been around and has experience. He's a good run defender (and) I think he'll help us in being able to push the pocket as well." It's plausible that McClain will get the nod for the Week 1 starting 11 given that Jack Crawford has been easing his way back into practice after suffering a torn bicep last season, while Senat may need some time to develop before the coaching staff entrusts the rookie to a down-in, down-out workload.

  • Falcons' Terrell McClain: Signs with Atlanta

McClain signed a one-year deal with the Falcons on Friday, Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports reports.

The addition of McClain to the Falcons' defensive line addresses a major need at tackle alongside Grady Jarrett and Vic Beasley. McClain was most recently released by the Redskins nearly two weeks ago after just one season with the franchise. The veteran defensive tackle appeared in 12 games in Washington in 2017, recording 20 total tackles and two sacks.

  • Terrell McClain: Released by Washington

McClain was released by the Redskins on Monday.

McClain signed with the Redskins last offseason, but with the team drafting two defensive linemen this past weekend in Da'Ron Payne in the first round and Tim Settle in the fifth round, McClain and his non-guaranteed base salary became expendable. The 29-year-old will immediately be eligible to sign on with another team.

McClain (toe) is active for Sunday's contest against the Giants.

McClain was questionable entering Sunday's game after being limited in practice throughout the week and playing through his injury in Week 16. He'll likely see his typical role as a backup defensive end now that he's confirmed as active.

  • Redskins' Terrell McClain: Questionable for Week 17

McClain (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.

McClain has been limited in practice all week to earn the questionable tag, and he just made his return from a four-game absence in last Sunday's win over the Broncos. The 29-year-old seems likely to play through the injury for the season finale, but his availability or lack thereof will presumably be confirmed in pregame warmups.

McClain (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

McClain was a limited participant in practice throughout the week after missing the Redskins' past four games. If he's able to return in Week 16, he'd likely start at defensive end across from Stacy McGee while Anthony Lanier and Matthew Ioannidis provide depth.
