  • Nigel Bradham: Steps away from game

Bradham informed the Broncos on Thursday that he is stepping away from football for personal reasons, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Bradham recently earned a call up to the 53-man roster via the practice squad for the Broncos, but he's decided to take time off. The 31-year-old has enjoyed a nine-year career, averaging 67.7 tackles and a sack per season.

  • Nigel Bradham: Cut by Saints

The Saints cut Bradham on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Braham signed with the team in late July, presumably expecting to compete for the starting job at middle linebacker. He started each of his 58 games for Philadelphia the past four seasons, averaging 87 tackles, 5.5 pass defenses and 1.3 sacks in 14.5 games per year. With Bradham out of the picture, Craig Robertson and Alex Anzalone are the favorites to get linebacker reps in New Orleans alongside First Team All-Pro Demario Davis.

  • Saints' Nigel Bradham: Finds home in Big Easy

The Saints signed Bradham to a one-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After four years with the Eagles, Bradham was shown the door in March and waited out the offseason before finding a new home. In his prior stops -- Philly and Buffalo -- he was a starter at middle linebacker, with two 100-tackle seasons on his resume and a per-16-game average of 84.7 stops. With the Saints, Bradham should slot into the starting lineup due to Kiki Alonso's current recovery from a January ACL tear.

  • Nigel Bradham: Shown door in Philly

The Eagles released Bradham on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Bradham just finished the second season of his five-year, $40 million contract, and he recorded his lowest tackle total (61) since the 2015 season. According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, this move will save the Eagles $4.5 million against the salary cap, and there's a slight chance he returns to the team on a low-cost contract. Otherwise, expect the 30-year-old to find a new franchise this offseason.

  • Eagles' Nigel Bradham: Logs fewest tackles in four seasons

Bradham recorded 61 tackles (32 solo), one interception and five pass breakups across 12 regular season games in 2019.

He added five more stops in the Eagles' wild card loss to Seattle, four of them solo. The 30-year-old missed four games with an ankle injury in the middle of the season and was slightly more productive when he returned, recording 35 of his tackles in the latter half of the year. While the Eagles have an $8 million dollar option to bring him back next season, that number makes it unlikely to be picked up. Nevertheless, the eight-year vet says he'd like to be back with Philadelphia in 2020, so it's possible the two sides work something out.

  • Eagles' Nigel Bradham: Hopes to be back soon

Bradham (ankle) revealed he should be back for Sunday's game against the Seahawks or the team's Week 13 matchup against Miami, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Bradham has sat out the last six games due to this ankle issue. The Eagles didn't find a full-time replacement for the middle linebacker during his absence, instead opting for a rotation of T.J. Edwards, Duke Riley and Alex Singleton. Bradham's return will boost the team's run-stopping efforts going forward, so keep an eye on his practice status as the week progresses.

  • Eagles' Nigel Bradham: Won't face Patriots

Bradham (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's tilt against the Patriots, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Bradham will miss a fourth straight contest due to his lingering ankle issue. T.J. Edwards is officially listed as Bradham's backup at middle linebacker, but the Eagles have relied on a rotation to fill the void thus far and will likely deploy a similar strategy Week 11.
