Allen was waived/injured Saturday, but ultimately cleared waivers and will revert to the Jets' IR.

Allen (concussion) was waived/injured by the Jets on Saturday.
Allen has been a non-factor for the Jets this season and is now dealing with a concussion. He'll finish the 2016 campaign with five tackles and zero passes defensed across 12 games. Linebacker Freddie Bishop was signed to the active roster in a corresponding move.

Jets' Antonio Allen: Signs with Jets
Allen signed with the Jets on Tuesday.
Allen spent the entirety of the 2015 season recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered during training camp and signed with the Texans last March before being released during final roster cuts. However, it didn't take long for Allen to get scooped up by his old squad. He spent three healthy seasons of his career with the Jets, starting 18 of the 38 games he appeared in, but returns to New York firmly entrenched behind Marcus Gilchrist on the free safety depth chart.

Texans' Antonio Allen: Catches on with Houston
The Texans will sign Allen, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Allen, who spent last season on IR with a torn Achilles, is now in line to provide the Texans with added depth at safety, plus he can serve as a contributor on special teams. In his last NFL regular season action, Allen notched 41 tackles in 15 games (including eight starts) for the Jets in 2014.
