Andre Roberts: Gets look from New York
Roberts received a tryout from the Giants on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Roberts played in three games for the Panthers last season and wasn't part of training camp for any NFL team. It's unclear if the Giants are interested in Roberts for his receiving or return ability, or possibly both, but the team sustained no injuries to its receiving corps in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Will play Sunday
Roberts (knee) is active Sunday against the Buccaneers.
Roberts was activated from IR on Saturday but he was considered questionable to play Week 17. His return will bolster the Panthers' depth at wide receiver, while he'll likely take back over return duties, a role that he held Week 1 against the Browns.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Questionable for Sunday
Roberts (knee), whom the Panthers activated from injured reserve Saturday, is questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay due to an illness, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Roberts has been on IR since playing in the season opener, when he had two kick returns for 35 yards and one punt return for 10 yards during a 26-24 loss to the Browns. While his knee injury is behind him, his status is up in the air ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. According to Newton, though, there's an expectation that Roberts is available, which will be unveiled when Carolina posts its list of inactives.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Set to return
Roberts (knee) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Roberts acts almost strictly as the team's return man when healthy, but it'll be interesting to monitor if he returns to that capacity after missing the last 13 games. Raheem Blackshear has done well as an explosive kick returner recently.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Nearing return from IR
Carolina designated Roberts (knee) to return from its injured reserve list Tuesday ahead of Saturday's game versus Detroit, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
After missing Carolina's last 13 games recovering from a sprained PCL he sustained in Week 1 versus Cleveland, Roberts appears to have a chance to suit up for Week 16. The 34-year-old wideout played all 11 of his snaps on special teams, serving as a punt and kick returner in the season opener, but it's not a given he'd reclaim those roles Saturday even if fully healthy.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Could miss time
Coach Matt Rhule said Tuesday that Roberts' knee injury "could be an issue," Schuyler Callihan of SI.com reports.
Roberts has been dealing with his knee injury since the preseason, but he appears to have aggravated the issue Week 1. If the veteran wideout is forced to miss time, Shi Smith and Chuba Hubbard will stand to step up in the return game.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Placed on IR
The Panthers placed Roberts (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Roberts, who dealt with a knee injury during the preseason, was diagnosed with a PCL sprain after playing in Sunday's season-opening loss to the Browns, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Though Roberts will avoid surgery, he'll be forced to miss at least four games after landing on IR. In his absence, Shi Smith is expected to take over as the primary punt returner, while Chuba Hubbard and Laviska Shenault would be options on kickoffs.

Panthers' Andre Roberts: Signs one-year deal with Carolina
The Panthers signed Roberts to a one-year deal Monday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Roberts has caught just 19 passes over the last five seasons, but he's a proven return man, which was a glaring need for Carolina this offseason. The veteran has six career return touchdowns, including a 101-yard kickoff return against the Broncos last season.
