  • Lamar Miller: Works out for Dolphins

Miller has a workout scheduled with the Dolphins on Monday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

The Dolphins could be without their top three running backs, as Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed are both on the reserve/COVID-19 list while Phillip Lindsay is battling an ankle injury. If signed, Miller -- who played in 61 games for Miami from 2012 through 2015 -- could take on a prominent role in Week 15 against the Jets if none of the three aforementioned running backs are cleared to return by then.

  • Lamar Miller: Cut from practice squad

Miller was cut from the Saints' practice squad Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Miller signed with the Saints' practice squad on Oct. 19 after being let go by Washington on Aug. 15. Aside from a single-game appearance with the Bears in 2020, Miller hasn't seen regular action since 2018 with Houston. The 30-year-old veteran will now try to get another shot in the NFL elsewhere.

  • Lamar Miller: Joins Saints' practice squad

New Orleans signed Miller to the practice squad Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Miller only suited up for one game last season, when he handled five offensive snaps without a carry for Chicago. Now, with Tony Jones (ankle) sidelined for at least a few more weeks, he will get a chance as an emergency option for the Saints.

  • Lamar Miller: Works out for San Fran

The 49ers brought in Miller for a workout Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Miller has appeared in just one game since 2018, but the 49ers are desperate as they deal with injuries to nearly every one of their rostered running backs. San Francisco also worked out Duke Johnson and T.J. Yeldon.

  • Lamar Miller: Let go by Washington

Miller will be released by Washington, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The 30-year-old back last saw significant NFL action back in 2018, so it's not a big surprise to see him let go by Washington. Miller now will look to catch on elsewhere as a depth option, but at this stage he seems unlikely to emerge as a fantasy option in 2021.

  • Football Team's Lamar Miller: Staying with Football Team

Miller agreed Wednesday with Washington on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After missing the entire 2019 campaign with an ACL tear, Miller spent time in Chicago and then Washington in 2020, making his lone game appearance Week 10 for the Bears. He'll turn 30 this spring and won't face an easy task to earn a spot on the Football Team's Week 1 roster. Washington has both Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic under contract for the upcoming season.
