Lott was waived by the Lions on Saturday, WXYZ Detroit reports.
Lott signed with the Lions prior to the preseason finale but evidently didn't show enough potential to be an impact player down the line. If he clears waivers, he could head to the practice squad.

Lions' Derrick Lott: Signs with Lions
Lott signed with the Lions on Sunday, Matthew reports.
Lott had previously spent the offseason working out for Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Oakland before landing in Detroit. Lott is still not guaranteed a roster spot, but Jordan Hill's IR designation definitely helps pave the way to making the team.
