McFadden did not appear in a game last season for the Falcons after bouncing around the league his first four seasons. He'll provide the Falcons with secondary depth.

Falcons' Leon McFadden: Signs with Atlanta
The Falcons signed McFadden to a contract Monday, Kelsey Conway of the team's official site reports.
McFadden, now recovered from an August hamstring injury, was signed off the Cowboys' practice squad. The 2013 third-rounder appeared in nine games for Dallas in 2016, but he was primarily deployed on special teams. He'll likely operate in a similar capacity with the Falcons.

Cowboys' Leon McFadden: Lands on IR
McFadden (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
McFadden was competing for a depth role with the Cowboys, but he missed a lot of training camp with this injury. If he gets healthy at some point this season, he's unlikely to be one of the two players Dallas can activate from IR due to his journeyman status.
