Jake Ryan: Let go by Ravens
The Ravens released Ryan (hamstring) with a non-football injury designation Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Ryan missed the entire 2018 campaign due to an ACL tear, and he only managed to participate in two games in 2019 -- both with the Jaguars -- while being relegated to special teams before being sidelined with a hamstring issue. The 28-year-old will now focus on making a full recovery before trying to garner a chance with another club, where he'll likely be forced to settle for a depth role.

Ravens' Jake Ryan: Joining Baltimore
Ryan (hamstring) signed a one-year deal with the Ravens on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
When healthy, Ryan is an effective run stopper. The linebacker has tallied 213 combined tackles across five seasons, and his signing provides the Ravens defense with some much-needed experience. That being said, Ryan missed the first 12 games of 2019 with a knee injury, and ultimately played just two games of the entire season, exclusively on special teams, before hitting injured reserve, this time with a hamstring injury.

Jake Ryan: Heads to free agency
The Jaguars declined to pick up Ryan's (hamstring) 2020 option, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Ryan missed the first 12 games of 2019 due to a knee injury, and after returning to action for two contests, he was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Over those two games, he only played on special teams. This move will save the Jaguars $6 million in cap space. Ryan hasn't played a full season since 2017 with the Packers, and he'll likely seek a reserve role elsewhere.

Jaguars' Jake Ryan: No timetable for return
Coach Doug Marrone said Monday that Ryan (hamstring) will be sidelined "indefinitely," John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Ryan exited Sunday's loss to the Chargers in the second quarter and did not retake the field. Wednesday's first injury report of the week should shed some light on the depth linebacker's status, but he appears to be trending toward sitting out Week 15's tilt in Oakland. Joe Giles-Harris stands to play an expanded depth role as long as Ryan is unable to go.

Ryan (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Titans.
The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but Ryan was forced to exit the game in the second quarter. As long as he's sidelined, Joe Giles-Harris would be the likely beneficiary to see an uptick in snaps as a depth linebacker.

After posting over 80 tackles in both 2016 and 2017, the 26-year-old now is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. His absence will force Green Bay will need to find another starter at inside linebacker next to Blake Martinez. The Packers would like to see rookie third-round pick Oren Burks seize the opportunity, as the depth chart otherwise consists of young, undrafted players. Ryan played 507 snaps on defense and 211 on special teams in 15 games last season, notching 81 tackles and the first sack of his career. He'll become a free agent next winter with his rookie contract coming to an end after the 2018 campaign.

The inside linebacker had been working with the first team next to Blake Martinez, while Ahmad Thomas and Oren Burks got most of the second-team work.
