Broncos' Tom Compton: IR-bound for remainder of season
Denver placed Compton (back) on its injured reserve list Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
After finally making his season debut in Week 15, Compton is just not healthy enough to play and will now have to wait until 2023 to potentially make a return to the field. The move will likely leave Quinn Bailey as the Broncos' primary backup at both tackle spots for the rest of the year.

The Broncos activated Compton (back) from the PUP list Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
With Billy Turner placed on injured reserve Tuesday as a result of a knee injury he suffered during Denver's loss to the Titans on Sunday, Compton is now in line to start at right tackle for at least the next four games barring any setbacks or new injuries. The 33-year-old missed each of the Broncos' first nine games this season due to an offseason back procedure.
