Broncos' Michael Burton: Sticking around in Denver
The Broncos signed Burton to the practice squad Saturday, and he has been elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Burton was on the Broncos' active roster over the first eight games of the regular season, logging five catches (on eight targets) for 40 yards over that span. He was released by Denver on Friday, but he's opted to stick around on the practice squad and he'll be available for Sunday's contest.

Broncos' Michael Burton: Signs to active roster
The Broncos signed Burton to their active roster Wednesday, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports.
Burton will remain with the Broncos' active roster after playing 36 total snaps (10 offensive and 26 on special teams) during the team's regular-season opener. In a corresponding move, the Broncos' placed rookie running back Audric Estime (ankle) on injured reserve.

Michael Burton: Back with practice squad
Burton reverted to the Broncos' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Burton was elevated to the active roster prior to Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Seahawks. The fullback caught his only target for three yards while playing 10 of the team's 69 offensive snaps. Additionally, he logged an assisted tackle on kick coverage while playing 26 snaps on special teams. Denver can elect to elevate Burton two more times before the Broncos would have to officially sign him to the 53-man roster.

Burton has been active for all 13 of the Broncos' games to date, but Sunday's contest marked just the second time that he's logged more than one touch on offense. Burton is set to sign a one-year deal with the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Burton will reunite with head coach Sean Payton, whom he played for in New Orleans in 2020. As a member of the Chiefs during the 2022 campaign, the veteran fullback handled five carries for seven yards and caught two of three targets for 11 yards. Burton likely won't see enough touches on offense to be a viable fantasy option in 2023.
