Martin Ifedi: Waived by Falcons
Ifedi (ankle) was waived by the Falcons on Tuesday.
Ifedi spent the 2017 season on injured reserve and has yet to play a single NFL snap in his first three seasons. The 26-year-old Memphis product will go through the league's waiver system and become a free agent if he goes unclaimed. Should another team show interest in Ifedi, he'll spend the offseason attempting to earn a spot on a 53-man roster.

After being drafted in the seventh round of the 2015 draft, Ifedi still hasn't played a NFL snap. He's a long shot to make the 53-man roster even if he gets healthy enough to experience preseason.

Ifedi signed a contract with the Falcons on Thursday, Charles Odum of The Savannah Morning News reports.
Ifedi, who has spent time with the Falcons each of the past two seasons, was given a tryout on Tuesday and evidently performed well enough to earn a spot on the 90-man roster. However, he'll likely need to have an impressive training camp and preseason in order to survive final cuts come Week 1.
