Bashaud Breeland: Signed to Cardinals' practice squad
Breeland was signed to the Cardinals' practice squad Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
The cornerback was waived by the Vikings on Dec. 18 prior to testing positive for COVID-19 Dec. 28 after working out for the Cardinals, delaying the signing for over a week. Breeland will provide a veteran presence in the Cardinals' secondary as they gear up for a playoff run. In 13 games with the Vikings in 2021, he made 63 tackles, deflected five passes, intercepted two balls and forced two fumbles.

Bashaud Breeland: Tests positive for COVID-19
Breeland tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday after working out with the Cardinals, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Breeland was set to sign with Arizona after being waived by Minnesota last week, but he'll now need to clear the health and safety protocols. The Cardinals apparently still plan to sign the veteran cornerback once he clears the protocols, but it remains to be seen when that actually happens.
