  • Steelers' JaCorey Shepherd: Signs with Pittsburgh

  • JaCorey Shepherd: Signs with Eagles' practice squad

Shepherd was signed to the Eagles' practice squad, the team announced Monday.

As a result, the team also released guard Darrell Greene, making this the third time the two have swapped positions on the practice squad. The cornerback had been dealing with a torn ACL for the last year and was yet to really see the practice field, but he should now be able to serve as a fully healthy member of the squad.

  • Eagles' JaCorey Shepherd: Returned to practice Monday

Shepherd (knee) returned to practice Monday, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

It has been a long road to recovery for the former 2015 draft pick. Although he hasn't been an active participant of practice in nearly a year, Shepherd will be relied upon to perform well for an Eagles' secondary that has been dropping like flies as of late.

  • Eagles' JaCorey Shepherd: Targeting training camp return

Shepherd (knee) participated in individual drills during the Eagles' offseason program and is targeting training camp for his return to a full workload, NJ.com reports.

Shepherd's rookie season was lost before it even began, as he banged knees with Darren Sproles in training camp and tore his ACL. The 2015 sixth-rounder has made it an emphasis to refrain from rushing himself back into action, though, which is contrary to the norm among NFL athletes. Thus, Shepherd should be ready to rock come training camp considering he'll be nearly a full year removed from the injury, essentially rendering his lost rookie season a redshirt campaign.
