Zach Zenner: Parts ways with Miami
Zenner was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Zenner was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins last week and exclusively played special teams during his lone game with the team. The 28-year-old has now seen game action with the Cardinals, Saints and Dolphins this season, and he's once again looking for a new team.

Dolphins' Zach Zenner: Claimed by Miami
Zenner has been claimed on waivers by the Dolphins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Zenner will give the Dolphins some added running back depth, with Kalen Ballage (leg) headed to IR. It remains to be seen how much of a role he'll have for his new team out of the gate, but initially Zenner figures to work behind Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin.

Zach Zenner: Let go by Arizona
The Cardinals waived Zenner on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Zenner became expendable to Arizona with Kenyan Drake, David Johnson and Chase Edmonds all back to full health. The 28-year-old running back will now be subject to waivers and look for a depth role elsewhere in the league.

Cardinals' Zach Zenner: Healthy scratch Sunday
Zenner (coach's decision) won't play in Sunday's showdown with the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Zenner played just 13 special teams snaps in last week's win over Tampa Bay and, as evidenced by this news, has become expendable on the roster. The Cardinals will roll with only Kenyan Drake and David Johnson as the running backs for the game.

Cardinals' Zach Zenner: Plays only special teams Week 10
Zenner played 13 special teams snaps during Sunday's 30-27 defeat at Tampa Bay.
In David Johnson's return to action, he split the work out of the backfield with Kenyan Drake, with the latter producing 41 yards from scrimmage to the former's 10. Meanwhile, Zenner didn't get involved in the offense at all, even with Chase Edmonds (hamstring) sidelined. The Cardinals haven't indicated when Edmonds will get back to full health, but Zenner doesn't appear to a part of the offensive game plan in the current setup at running back.

Cardinals' Zach Zenner: Set to contribute Thursday
Zenner will be a part of a "running back by committee" Thursday versus the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Although the team has ruled out Chase Edmonds (hamstring), No. 1 back David Johnson is considered questionable due to his lingering ankle injury. If coach Kliff Kingsbury opts to hold Johnson out for a second game in a row, Zenner is expected to rotate in with newcomer Kenyan Drake and Alfred Morris. In his first appearance with the Cardinals in the Week 8 loss to New Orleans, Zenner notched one carry for zero yards and one reception (on one target) for 13 yards while playing 19 offensive snaps.

Cardinals' Zach Zenner: Serving as Edmonds' backup
Zenner will be Chase Edmonds' backup Sunday in New Orleans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Zenner was among two running backs signed this week to provide depth to the Cardinals' backfield. With Alfred Morris joining David Johnson (ankle) on the inactive list Sunday, Zenner is the only other RB available to the offense behind starter Chase Edmonds. For his career, Zenner has averaged 3.9 yards per carry while hauling in 28 of 39 targets in 37 appearances.

Cardinals' Zach Zenner: Lands in desert
Zenner signed a contract with the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Along with Zenner, the Cardinals added fellow running back Alfred Morris to the roster Wednesday in a pair of transactions that likely signals some level of concern about the health of David Johnson (ankle). Even if Johnson is ruled out for Sunday's game in New Orleans, Zenner and Morris would likely handle only limited depth roles behind Week 7 breakout star Chase Edmonds.
