Ravens' Michael Pierce: Inks extension
Pierce and the Ravens agreed to a two-year, $7.5 million extension Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
The 31-year-old has spent six of his seven years in the NFL with the Ravens, and he'll remain in Baltimore through the 2025 season after inking an extension Saturday. Pierce has been having one of the best seasons of his career thus far, appearing in all 16 of the Ravens' games and recording 36 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, while also deflecting two passes. Expect the 355-pound nose tackle to continue being a major part of Baltimore's run defense for years to come.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Questionable to return
Pierce (neck) is considered questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a stinger.
Pierce's stinger is described as in his neck and shoulder area. Given the nature of the game, it would seem unnecessary for him to return if his health is not up to par. While he is sidelined, Travis Jones is the likely candidate to replace him at nose tackle.

Ravens' Michael Pierce: Back on field
Pierce (biceps/elbow), who finished last season on injured reserve, has been spotted working out during Ravens' voluntary OTAs, Jonathan Alfano of SI.com reports.
After opting out of the 2020 NFL season due to COVID-19-related concerns, the veteran defensive lineman appeared in just 11 games over the past two seasons with elbow and bicep injuries. Pierce said that he's feeling healthy once again, and if so, the 6-foot, 340-pounder should reprise his typical run-stuffing role at nose tackle in 2023. Between stops in Baltimore and Minnesota during his career, Pierce has appeared in 71 games and has tallied 177 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
