Clark was waived by the Chargers on Wednesday, Jack Wang of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Clark's dismissal will free up an additional roster spot ahead of training camp. The Michigan State product was a seventh-round pick in 2016.

Clark (knee) was waived/injured by the Chargers on Saturday, ESPN's Eric D. Williams reports.
Clark tore his ACL during the team's second preseason game in 2016, but was healthy enough to take part in training camp to begin the new year. Unfortunately it appears the 24-year-old may have aggravated the knee injury and will likely sit out most of this season.

Chargers' Donavon Clark: Returns to action in preseason opener
Clark (knee) played 14 snaps in Sunday's preseason opener against the Seahawks.
Clark suffered the misfortune of tearing his ACL in last summer's preseason opener, which landed him on injured reserve. Prior to the injury, he was projected to serve as D.J. Fluker's backup, and the 2016 seventh-round pick will likely battle for that spot again this season.
