Kwiatkoski appeared in 12 games with the Falcons last season, where he played exclusively on special teams (227 snaps). Now, he gets a chance to spend the offseason competing for a depth gig in Pittsburgh.

Falcons' Nick Kwiatkoski: Re-signs with Atlanta
The Falcons re-signed Kwiatkoski on Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Kwiatkoski was released ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline, but he's since returned to team after the Falcons opened up numerous roster spots by placing a plethora of players on IR. The veteran linebacker is expected to share backup duties with rookie Troy Andersen behind the starting duo of Rashaan Evans and Mykal Walker.

Nick Kwiatkoski: Released by Atlanta
The Falcons released Kwiatkoski on Tuesday, Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports.
Kwiatkoski signed a one-year deal with Atlanta in May after appearing in eight games for the Raiders in 2021. He was expected to compete for a depth role at inside linebacker, but the return of Deion Jones made Kwiatkoski the odd man out. The 2016 fourth-round pick will look to find a new NFL opportunity before the start of the 2022 campaign.

Falcons' Nick Kwiatkoski: Signing with Falcons
Kwiatkoski is signing a one-year contract with the Falcons, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Kwiatkoski appeared in eight games for the Raiders in 2021 while dealing with an ankle issue, and he totaled 21 tackles (13 solo) and a forced fumble. Following two seasons in Las Vegas, the 28-year-old will attempt to carve out a depth role in Atlanta.
