Wilson signed with the Cardinals in early October and appeared in one game, playing five snaps on special teams. The 27-year-old was unable to secure a spot on Jacksonville's 53-man roster in training camp and will now look for a new team.

Wilson was unable to make Jacksonville's roster out of camp, and has yet to appear in a game this season. In 2018, however, the 27-year-old suited up in all 16 games for the Rams and made 35 tackles. It's likely that Wilson won't see a large role in the defense during the season, but he could be a special teams contributor.

Rams' Ramik Wilson: Leaves mark in win
Wilson recorded nine tackles (six solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 35-23 win over the Chargers.
The first-year Ram started his third consecutive game with Mark Barron (ankle) out of the lineup, and this was by far Wilson's most impressive showing, as he doubled his tackle total to improve to 17 (10 solo) for the campaign. It's unlikely Wilson continues to start once Barron is healthy, so the former's fantasy value is probably fleeting.

A 2015 fifth-round selection by the Chiefs, Wilson has recorded 112 tackles, one interception, three passes defensed, and a forced fumble in 30 career games. Wilson was set to become a restricted free agent at the start of the new league year, but the Chiefs declined to place a tender on the linebacker, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Wilson didn't receive a qualifying offer or minimum tender from the Chiefs and has become an unrestricted free agent, per the league's official transaction log.
Wilson had a solid season for the Chiefs in 2016 when he racked up 76 tackles, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and one touchdown in 11 games. However, he was limited to just 125 defensive snaps this past season and has missed at least five games in each of his three years in Kansas City. While he won't be a highly-sought-after asset on the free-agent market this offseason, Wilson has shown the potential to be an effective rotational linebacker and should still have a number of teams interested in acquiring his services for the 2018 season.
