The Raiders defense got a nice surprise this offseason when Maxx Crosby wasn't traded to Baltimore after a failed physical. Not only is Crosby staying in Las Vegas, but he's also angry over the whole fiasco, which should lead to some standout production. The Raiders also added some key veterans in Nakobe Dean, Kwity Paye and Quay Walker, and they drafted potential impactful rookies with Treydan Stukes in Round 2, Keyron Crawford in Round 3 and Jermod McCoy in Round 4. Hopefully, these guys can help improve a Las Vegas defense that was No. 8 in most points allowed in 2025. The Raiders also added 37 sacks, eight fumbles, eight interceptions and allowed 317.8 yards per game. We don't recommend drafting the Raiders DST in the majority of leagues, but if the unit gets off to a hot start, then add the Raiders DST off the waiver wire.

    The Cowboys signed Snowden on Thursday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports. Snowden has played over 320 defensive snaps in each of the last two seasons. The defensive end recorded 28 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and added two passes defensed for one interception over 15 games during the 2025 regular season. The 28-year-old likely will be a strong depth player who can compete for rotational snaps behind Rashan Gary and Donovan Ezeiruaku.

  • Raiders' Jermod McCoy: On track for training camp

    McCoy (knee) should be ready to go once training camp starts in the summer, Vincent Bonsignore of the California Post reports. The cornerback was a limited participant during OTAs, but that's just due to a "management program," per Bonsignore. McCoy missed the 2025 collegiate campaign after tearing his ACL, but he still got drafted in the fourth round by the Raiders. During training camp, he should have a chance to compete for slotting in the Raiders secondary ahead of Week 1.

  • Raiders' Brennan Jackson: Returns for minicamp

    Jackson (foot) was spotted participating in minicamp Wednesday, Michael Clemons of the Raiders' official site reports. Jackson was sidelined for Las Vegas' final 13 games last season due to a foot injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. The third-year pro from Washington State has primarily contributed as a special teamer throughout his NFL career, recording six total tackles and one pass defensed across 10 contests while logging 148 total snaps (103 on special teams, 45 on defense).

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Nearly ready to resume practicing

    Crosby (knee) told reporters during OTAs that he's "almost back" to being on the field, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports. Crosby was in the process of being traded to Baltimore back in March, but the deal fell through after he failed a physical. Now that it appears he'll be staying with Las Vegas in 2026, he'll be focusing on simply recovering from the knee procedure he underwent in the offseason to address a torn meniscus. His next chances to practice will come during mandatory minicamp, which the Raiders are scheduled to hold beginning June 6.

  • Raiders' Jermod McCoy: Sheds limitations

    McCoy (knee) practiced without limitations Wednesday, Sam Warren of the Raiders' official site reports. A rookie fourth-round pick, McCoy was limited during rookie minicamp while he was continuing to ramp up from a torn right ACL he suffered during the 2025 season. Now, McCoy -- who will turn 21 years old in August -- has increased his workload and drew praise from head coach Klint Kubiak for his progress. The Tennessee product is currently behind veteran Eric Stokes and 2025 third-round pick Darien Porter on the depth chart at outside cornerback.

  • Brodric Martin: Dropped by Las Vegas

    Martin (undisclosed) was waived from the Raiders' IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The 2023 third-round pick from Western Kentucky has appeared in just six regular-season games throughout his three years in the NFL, playing for the Lions (five contests) and Steelers (one contest). Following an injury settlement with the Raiders, Martin is free to sign elsewhere once he fully recovers.

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Could be back for training camp

Crosby underwent knee surgery this offseason to repair a torn meniscus, but it appears the Raiders are expecting him to return at some point during training camp. The All-Pro edge-rusher was dealt from Las Vegas to Baltimore in early March, though the deal ultimately collapsed following a failed physical. Nonetheless, the Raiders' expectation that Crosby will be back for training camp is a positive sign that he could be ready for the team's regular-season opener Sept. 13.

Chinn spent the final two weeks of Las Vegas' 2025 campaign on IR with a back injury, but it appears he's moved past the issue.     McCoy said Saturday that his knee feels good but is letting the Raiders decide if another surgery is needed after missing all of 2025 with a torn ACL, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports. McCoy was highly regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the 2026 draft class, but he fell to the Raiders in Round 4 due to concerns that a second knee surgery was needed, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, despite previously being cleared in February. Las Vegas has yet to decide on McCoy's status, but the rookie cornerback was positive when discussing his knee and emphasized his trust in the Raiders organization to make the right choice.   • Raiders' Brandon Cleveland: Reeled in by Raiders

    The Raiders selected Cleveland in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 229th overall. Cleveland was a distinguished two-gap tackle for North Carolina State, and one way or another he should prove a useful enough pick for the Raiders this late. The concern with Cleveland's NFL projection is that at 6-foot-3, 307 pounds, he doesn't have as much natural anchor as you'd like in a nose tackle, especially given Cleveland's lack of explosiveness otherwise. Cleveland has only one calling card -- eating interior blocks to crowd the ground game -- but it's not clear if his anchor will set well enough to play as well in the NFL as it did in college.

  • Raiders' Hezekiah Masses: Headed to Las Vegas

    The Raiders selected Masses in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 175th overall. Masses played three seasons of his four-year college career at FIU before transferring to Cal as a senior, where he racked up 47 tackles (one for loss), 13 pass deflections and five interceptions. He clearly has skills playing the ball, but he has a slender frame at 6-foot-1, 179 pounds and likely needs to bulk up. As a result of the frame, he struggles to get off blocks at times and isn't the most consistent tackler. Moses is likely bound for a depth role in 2026 and will likely be expected to contribute on special teams as a rookie while he adds to his frame.

  • Raiders' Dalton Johnson: Drafted by Raiders

    The Raiders selected Johnson in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 150th overall. Johnson played multiple safety roles for Arizona and is certainly unafraid to help out in the running game, racking up 94 and 97 tackles in his last two collegiate campaigns. He added four interceptions and 11 interceptions to his resume' as a senior, but he's a bit undersized for the position at 5-foot-11, 192 pounds and can struggle against bigger wideouts. Still, Johnson has good instincts, is a good tackler and has plenty of special teams experience, making him a good depth option on the back end and a special-teams candidate.
