Corey Coleman: Gets cut Tuesday
Coleman was waived from the Chiefs' practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Coleman spent training camp with the Chiefs before ultimately being cut and signing to their practice squad. The 2016 first round selection hasn't played an NFL snap since 2018 with the Giants. He'll work to find an opportunity elsewhere to get back on an NFL roster.

Chiefs' Corey Coleman: Inking deal with KC
Coleman is signing with Kansas City, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 2016 first-round pick spent much of 2020 on the Giants' practice squad and didn't play at all in 2021. Coleman turns 28 in July, and he'll merely be competing for a back-end roster spot at this point, hoping to eventually work his way up the depth chart in a talented Kansas City offense. He hasn't caught a pass since 2018, and has never reached 500 receiving yards in a season.

The Giants signed Coleman to the practice squad Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports.
Coleman played eight games with the Giants back in 2018 before tearing his ACL, and he hasn't played in an NFL game since. The 2016 first-round pick signed with the Giants back in March and was cut before the 2020 season began, but he'll get another chance in New York. The Giants have five wide receivers on the active roster, but C.J. Board (concussion) may not be ready for Week 8. Coleman could add depth if that's the case.

Coleman failed to make the Giants out of training camp, but with C.J. Board (concussion) dealing with injury, they elected to see if Coleman was worth another shot. The 2016 first-round pick has had a tough career since entering the league from Baylor, as he's suited up in just 27 games in his career, last season in the league when he suffered a torn ACL in training camp in 2018.

Corey Coleman: Cut by New York
Coleman was let go by the Giants on Sunday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
The Giants claimed a few players off waviers Sunday, including receiver Damion Ratley, so Coleman was one of the players needed to make room. The 2016 first-round pick was coming off a torn ACL he suffered in Week 17 of the 2018 season but failed to make the roster. He'll likely remain with the team on the practice squad or look for an opportunity elsewhere around the league as a depth receiver.
