Patriots' Mack Hollins: Two grabs in preseason opener
Hollins caught two of four targets for 24 yards in Thursday's 13-13 preseason tie with the Colts.
The Patriots held their offensive starters out of the contest, including QB Drake Maye, allowing Hollins to get the start and play most of the first quarter. The veteran wideout will have a tough time carving out a significant role in 2026 as long as New England's receiving corps stays healthy, with A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs and DeMario Douglas all ahead of him on the team's unofficial depth chart and Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism also competing for WR slotting.

Patriots' Mack Hollins: Willing to play some tight end
Hollins said Monday he'd be willing to play some tight end this season, Karen Guregian of MassLive.com reports.
The Patriots signed Julian Hill earlier in the offseason as experienced depth behind Hunter Henry, but Hill suffered a season-ending knee injury during the spring. New England used a third-round pick on Eli Raridon, but it remains to be seen if he'll develop enough to contribute right away. Hollins is 6-foot-4 and 221 pounds and known as one of the most willing blocking wideouts in the league, so it wouldn't be foreign for Hollins to play closer to the line of scrimmage to get his hands on opposing edge defenders and linebackers.

Patriots' Mack Hollins: In mix behind Brown and Doubs
As the coming season approaches, Hollins is line to compete with Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and Kyle Williams for snaps in three-receiver sets, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
In his first campaign with the Patriots, Hollins put up a 46/550/2 receiving line (on 65 targets) in 15 regular-season contests. However, with newcomers A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs now slated to serve as the team's top WRs and command their share of targets in the process, Hollins may find steady volume harder to come by in 2026, with Boutte, Douglas and Williams also in the mix for looks that don't go to the top duo.

Patriots' Mack Hollins: Bright spot in SB LX loss
Hollins recorded four receptions (on eight targets) for 78 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
Hollins led the Patriots in targets and receiving yards, with the majority of his production coming on consecutive catches early in the fourth quarter. The first went for 24 yards over a crowded middle of the field, and Hollins then beat a couple of Seattle defenders to the corner of the end zone for a 35-yard score. Hollins remains under contract for 2026 and could be back with New England, though the team could also opt to cut and save roughly $4.5 million on the salary cap.
