Jaelen Strong: Cut by Browns
Strong was cut by the Browns on Monday, Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Strong was competing for a depth role in Cleveland, but the team decided he was not the right fit less than a week after they signed his former Texans teammate and fellow wideout Braxton Miller. He ends his preseason stint with seven receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. Only 25, there's a chance Strong could find his way onto a roster or practice squad during the regular season.

Browns' Jaelen Strong: Fails to impress
Strong caught two of seven targets for 11 yards in Friday's 13-12 loss to the Buccaneers in preseason Week 3.
Strong got the starting assignment with three of the Browns top receivers held out or injured. A 2015 third-round pick of the Texans who did not play last season, Strong has a chance to stick on the back end of the wideout depth chart. He's second on the team with seven preseason receptions for 52 yards and one touchdown.

Browns' Jaelen Strong: In line for more opportunities
Strong could start seeing more reps in practice with Antonio Callaway suspended for the first four games of the regular season, Scott Patsko of Cleveland.com reports.
Strong most recently played 40 snaps in the Browns' preseason opener on Thursday, which was tied with Rashard Higgins for the most by a wide receiver. While Higgins is being viewed as the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart, especially in the absence of Callaway, the door is certainly open for Strong to earn more opportunities.

Browns' Jaelen Strong: Impressing in camp
Strong is pushing for a spot on the Browns' 53-man roster, Tony Zarrella of Cleveland19.com reports.
Strong signed with the Browns in February and appears to be making the most of his opportunity with the team. Initially selected by the Texans in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, a suspension prompted Strong to move on to Jacksonville. With the Jaguars, the wideout suffered a torn ACL before managing to carve out a meaningful role. The 25-year-old is now competing for a depth role in Cleveland.

Browns' Jaelen Strong: Joining Cleveland
Strong signed a contract Wednesday with the Browns, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Selected 70th overall in the 2015 draft, Strong never had much of an impact in Houston and eventually moved on to Jacksonville, where he suffered a torn ACL in December 2017. Now healthy after spending a year out of football, the 25-year-old wide receiver will battle for a roster spot in Cleveland.

Jaelen Strong: Fully recovered from ACL injury
Strong tweeted Wednesday that he has fully recovered from the ACL injury he sustained in December of 2017.
Strong was playing for Jacksonville when he tore his ACL, and since has become a free agent. The Arizona State product will likely need to prove that he's fully recovered and can still play, but being fully recovered is a huge step for the player whose size (6-foot-2, 217 pounds) and speed (4.44 40) helped him get drafted in the third round of the 2015 draft. In Strong's NFL career, he has caught 31 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns over 19 games.

Jaelen Strong: Let go by Jacksonville
The Jaguars have released Strong (knee), Mike Kaye of FirstCoastNews.com reports.
Strong tore his ACL in his Jaguars debut last December, so he'll need to re-prove his health before he can make a run for a role with his next team. The 2015 third-rounder has been limited to 31 catches for 330 yards and four TDs in 19 NFL games, but Strong entered the league with a nice size (6-foot-2, 217 pounds) and speed (4.44 40) combo, which hints at some untapped potential.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Placed on IR
The Jaguars placed Strong (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Kaye of the First Coast News reports.
Strong tore his ACL in his Jaguars debut last Sunday in San Francisco. Given the late timing of his injury coupled with the lengthy recovery time of this particular diagnosis, it's unlikely Strong will be able to recover in time for the start of the 2018 campaign. His contract with the Jaguars ends at the conclusion of the current league year.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Tears ACL in Jags debut
Strong announced via his personal Instagram account that he tore his ACL during Sunday's 44-33 loss at San Francisco.
Strong has been in Jacksonville since he was cut by the Texans after Week 2, spending time on both the 53-man roster and practice squad. He was promoted from the latter Saturday with Marqise Lee (ankle) already ruled out for Week 16 and Allen Hurns (ankle) questionable for the contest. Hurns wasn't given clearance to play Sunday, so Strong earned active status. Buoyed by a touchdown just before halftime, Strong put up a healthy line supported by three catches (on four targets) for 38 yards. His season is over now, though, leaving him in the dark as he enters restricted free agency this offseason.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Joins Jags' active roster
Strong was promoted to the Jaguars' 53-man roster Saturday, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Strong was let go by the Jaguars following their Week 10 victory over the Chargers and subsequently landed on their practice squad. With Marqise Lee (ankle) sidelined and Allen Hurns (ankle) questionable for the team's Week 16 matchup against the 49ers, Strong has been brought back to help bolster depth in the receiving department.

Jaelen Strong: Remains in Jacksonville
Strong signed with the Jaguars' practice squad on Monday.
Strong was cut loose over the weekend as the Jaguars added a few players to the active roster. The 23-year-old did not record a reception during his time with the team, and multiple injuries to Jaguar receivers would likely need to occur for him to see a significant role, even if he were to rejoin the 53-man roster.

Jaelen Strong: Let go by Jaguars
Strong was cut by the Jaguars on Saturday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Strong was released by the team in order to create room for a few returning players. The 23-year-old failed to record a reception during his time with the team, and will now either revert to the Jaguars' practice squad or look for opportunities elsewhere.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Inactive Sunday
Strong is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Strong -- who was claimed off waivers from Houston on September 19 -- practiced fully all week and did not carry an injury designation, so he's presumably a healthy scratch for Sunday's game.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: No limitations Wednesday
Strong (hamstring) was a full participant at the Jaguars' practice Wednesday.
Strong's full involvement in practice is a great sign for his chances of making his Jaguars debut Sunday against the Rams. The 23-year-old sits near the bottom of the depth chart at receiver and may need a few injuries to those above him in the pecking order before he sees consistent targets in the passing game.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Out for Week 5
Strong (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's contest against the Steelers.
Strong has not been able to find the field during his time on the team this season, so his absence is unlikely to be felt. Max McCaffrey figures to fill in as a depth receiver option in the 23-year-old's absence.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Questionable for Sunday
Strong (hamstring) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Strong is still aiming to make his Jaguars debut with the hamstring injury having gotten in the way of that the last couple of weeks. If the 23-year-old receiver is able to play, he'll likely slot into a depth role, though the potential absence of No. 2 receiver Marqise Lee (ribs) could allow him to earn meaningful targets right away.

Jaguars' Jaelen Strong: Ruled out for Sunday
Strong (hamstring) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Strong was unable to practice at all this week, so it's no surprise that he'll don street clothes again in Week 4. The 23-year-old receiver hasn't played a snap for the Jags yet, so it's unclear how exactly he'll be deployed. It's predicted he'll be a depth receiver with a special teams presence.
