Steelers' Chuck Clark: Takes step back in 2025
Clark logged 51 tackles (31 solo) along with three pass defenses and a forced fumble over 15 regular-season appearances in 2025.
Clark joined the Steelers on a one-year contract ahead of the 2025 campaign, but his production declined during his first year with his new team. He recorded his lowest number of tackles since the 2018 season and wasn't very effective at defending passes. Clark will be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason and could have to settle for another short-term deal ahead of his age-31 season.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Gets in full practice Wednesday
Clark (illness) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Missi Matthews of the Steelers' official site reports.
Clark missed Sunday's game versus the Colts with an illness, but it seems like he's on track to return to action in Week 10. However, with the Steelers' recent acquisition of safety Kyle Dugger via trade, it's not totally clear what role Clark will have against the Chargers on Sunday.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Won't play Sunday
Clark (illness) has been downgraded and ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts, Burt Lauten of the Steelers' official site reports.
The veteran safety from Virginia Tech was originally listed as questionable for Sunday's contest after coming down with an illness. However, it now appears he won't be able to suit up in Week 9. While Clark misses his second game of the season Sunday, expect Kyle Dugger and Juan Thornhill to operate as the Steelers' top safeties.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Deemed questionable due to illness
Clark (illness) is questionable to face the Colts on Sunday, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
Clark came down with an illness and didn't practice Friday. He'll have two days to recover enough to suit up against Indianapolis. Clark logged an 87 percent defensive snap share against Green Bay last Sunday and tallied five tackles (three solo).

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Won't play against Cleveland
Clark (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Clark started at safety in two of the first four games of the regular season, but he will observe Sunday's AFC North tilt in street clothes as a healthy scratch. His absence opens the door for Jabrill Peppers to operate in a bigger role in the secondary alongside DeShon Elliott and Juan Thornhill.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Three tackles in Week 4 win
Clark recorded three tackles (three solo) in the Steelers' win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Clark made his second start of the season in the win over Minnesota, but he played a season-low 41 percent of the defensive snaps. With DeShon Elliott (knee) back healthy, Clark is expected to serve in a reserve role behind Elliott and Juan Thornhill.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Has another solid game Sunday
Clark recorded six tackles (three solo) during Sunday's 21-14 win at New England.
Clark led the Steelers' safeties in snaps Sunday with 53, and he came up with six-plus tackles for the third straight contest. He seems to be locked into a big role as long as DeShon Elliott (knee) remains out, so his status will be worth keeping track of for those in need of an IDP option for Week 4.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Logs eight tackles in win
Clark recorded eight tackles (six solo) in the Steelers' win over the Jets on Sunday.
One of Clark's tackles went for a loss, as he wrapped up Justin Fields behind the line of scrimmage on a third-and-three designed run in the fourth quarter to force a punt. Clark played just 50 percent of the defensive snaps but figures to have an every-down role in Week 2 after DeShon Elliott suffered a knee injury against New York. Elliott has already been ruled out for Pittsburgh's upcoming date with the Seahawks.

Steelers' Chuck Clark: Headed to Steel City
The Steelers signed Clark (undisclosed) to a contract Friday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Clark played in 12 regular-season games for the Jets in 2024, finishing with 69 tackles (38 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two pass defenses, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery before ending the year on injured reserve due to an undisclosed issue. The veteran safety, who spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Ravens, will return to the AFC North as a member of the Steelers, where he is expected to provide depth in the secondary.
