Steelers' Godwin Igwebuike: No offensive snaps in Week 13
Igwebuike played all 12 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Cardinals.
Igwebuike has been active ahead of Anthony McFarland as the Steelers' No. 3 running back for both of the past two games, but he hasn't taken any snaps on offense in either contest. The 29-year-old will likely continue to see most of his time on special teams, where he contributes on coverage units and as the team's kickoff returner.

Steelers' Godwin Igwebuike: Sidelined again
Igwebuike (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Texans, Alan Saunders of PittsburghSportsNow.com reports.
Igwebuike joined the Steelers on Sept. 20 after Anthony McFarland (knee) was placed on injured reserve. However, the Northwestern product still has not suited up for the team. Instead, Pittsburgh will continue to lean on Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren as its only two active running backs.

Steelers' Godwin Igwebuike: Finds new home
The Steelers signed Igwebuike off the Falcons' practice squad Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Igwebuike will bring added depth to the Pittsburgh backfield after Anthony McFarland (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday. The 28-year-old likely won't have a regular role on offense but could challenge Gunner Olszewski (concussion) for the top kickoff return job.

Godwin Igwebuike: Back to practice squad
Igwebuike reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday.
Igwebuike was elevated from the practice squad prior to Atlanta's 25-24 win over the Packers on Sunday, joining the team's active roster for a second straight week. He logged one offensive snap and failed to garner any stats for the second game in a row. Igwebuike will now have to wait for another potential elevation down the road.

Falcons' Godwin Igwebuike: Elevated by Falcons
Igwebuike was elevated to the Falcons' active roster Saturday, Scott Bair of the team's official site reports.
Igwebuike has now been called up in consecutive games to start the season. He will be available to provide depth at running back, if needed, but his primary role will be returning kicks. He logged one offensive snap in Week 1 to go along with eight on special teams.

Godwin Igwebuike: Joins Atlanta's practice squad
Igwebuike signed with Atlanta's practice squad Wednesday, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
Igwebuike opened the season on Atlanta's 53-man roster and dressed for the season opener, playing one snap on offense and eight on special teams against the Panthers. He was subsequently waived Monday and has now been brought back into the organization Wednesday. While it remains to be seen whether he's added onto the main roster before Sunday's game against the Packers, there's a good chance Igwebuike will be called upon again at some point this season.

Godwin Igwebuike: Gets cut loose
Igwebuike was waived by the Falcons on Monday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Igwebuike was signed from the practice squad for the team's season opener against the Panthers and played eight snaps on special teams. His departure could be a sign that Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) is expected to be available Sunday against the Packers. Igwebuike, however, could still ultimately re-sign with the team's practice squad or pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Falcons' Godwin Igwebuike: Plays primarily on special teams
Igwebuike played nine snaps (one offensive) and didn't record any counting stats during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers.
With Cordarrelle Patterson's (thigh) availability up in the air, the Falcons signed Igwebuike to the 53-man roster off the practice squad Saturday. The undrafted rookie out of Northwestern wasn't involved offensively in Week 1, but he showed a willingness to contribute on special teams. As long as Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier are healthy, Igwebuike should remain a non-factor on offense, and he may even head back to the practice squad once Patterson clears his current injury.

Falcons' Godwin Igwebuike: Signed to 53-man roster
The Falcons signed Igwebuike to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 matchup with the Panthers, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
With Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) questionable, Igwebuike has been promoted to provide depth behind Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier in the backfield. With the latter two expected to carry most of the offensive workload, Igwebuike's most likely path to contribute will presumably be through special teams.

Godwin Igwebuike: Joins Atlanta's practice squad
Igwebuike signed with the Falcons' practice squad Wednesday, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.
Igwebuike was a somewhat surprising cut by the Falcons on Tuesday, but he'll rejoin the organization's practice squad a day later after clearing waivers. If the team needs additional backfield depth at some point in 2023, Igwebuike should be in the mix to join the active roster.

Godwin Igwebuike: Surprise cut by Atlanta
The Falcons waived Igwebuike on Tuesday.
Given the injury to Cordarrelle Patterson (undisclosed) and Igwebuike's solid preseason -- especially in the first two games when he rushed for 131 yards on 27 carries -- it comes as a surprise that the Falcons would let him go along with rookie UDFA Carlos Washington. Igwebuike played in five games (mostly on special teams) with the Seahawks in 2022 and signed with Atlanta in July to compete for a backfield depth spot. He'll look for a new home once he clears waivers.

Falcons' Godwin Igwebuike: Frontrunner for No. 3 spot
Igwebuike rushed four times for four yards and failed to haul in his only target during Friday's preseason loss to Pittsburgh.
Igwebuike signed with the Falcons at the end of July, marking his third different team in three years. He impressed during Atlanta's preseason opener versus Miami, tallying 13 rushing attempts for 70 yards and a score. Igwebuike followed that up with 14 rushes for 61 yards versus the Bengals in Week 2 of the preseason but fell flat in the finale. Regardless, given his production through the first two exhibitions, it appears he's surpassed rookie UDFA Carlos Washington on the depth chart, which is significant given Cordarrelle Patterson's current soft-tissue injury. As it stands, Igwebuike is the No. 3 behind Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier, at least until Patterson is cleared, and while that's likely enough to ensure his spot on the Falcons' initial 53-man roster, Igwebuike is still an injury or two away from garnering meaningful snaps in the regular season.

Falcons' Godwin Igwebuike: Leading rusher in preseason win
Igwebuike carried the ball 13 times for a game-high 70 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Dolphins.
He opened the scoring in the second quarter on an 11-yard touchdown run, and it was the only offensive TD for either team in a sluggish 19-3 contest. Igwebuike has bounced around the NFL since 2018, seeing action in five games last season with the Seahawks. While he's unlikely to find much of a role on offense in a Falcons' backfield that already features first-round pick Bijan Robinson plus holdovers Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson, his special-teams experience could still earn him a roster spot.

Falcons' Godwin Igwebuike: Finds new home
Igwebuike signed a contract with the Falcons on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPNreports.
Igwebuike appeared in five games with the Seahawks last season and gained four yards on three carries, but he is more notably known for his work on special teams. He generated 308 yards on 11 kickoff returns and 697 yards on 28 punt returns with the Lions in 2021. He'll likely be competing for a similar role with Atlanta during training camp and preseason.

Seahawks' Godwin Igwebuike: Effective kick returner
Igwebuike rushed three times for four yards and caught his lone target for three yards over five regular-season games in 2022.
Igwebuike was called up from the practice squad after a slew of injuries to Seattle's backfield. While Igwebuike barely played on offense, he was solid as a kick returner with 308 yards on 11 returns, including a 50-yard return. Igwebuike will aim to make it on a roster in 2023 with his special-teams skills.
