  • Jack Cichy: Retires from NFL

Cichy (arm) retired from the NFL on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Cichy spent all four of his professional seasons with Tampa Bay, but he failed to make an appearance last season after playing in at least four games in each of his first three campaign. The Wisconsin product's NFL career was spoiled by injuries, most recently a broken arm during the 2021 campaign. The 2018 sixth-round pick finished his career with seven tackles across 16 appearances while mostly operating on special teams.

  • Buccaneers' Jack Cichy: Sustains broken arm

Cichy suffered a broken arm in Sunday's NFC divisional-round win over the Saints, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 24-year-old linebacker tore the ACL in his right knee in college and tore the ACL in his left knee during his rookie 2018 season. There's no clear timeline for his return, but he's out for the rest of the postseason. Cichy will be a restricted free agent in March.

  • Buccaneers' Jack Cichy: Bad injury luck continues

Cichy (elbow) will not return to Sunday's NFC divisional-round matchup against the Saints, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Cichy tore his ACL back in 2018, and a number of injuries have limited him to just 10 appearances in two seasons since then. An injury sustained while covering a punt in the first quarter will now force the 24-year-old to miss the remainder of Sunday's playoff match.

Cichy was signed to the Buccaneers' active roster from the Patriots' practice squad Friday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Cichy (hamstring) has passed through waivers upon being let go by Tampa Bay with a failed physical designation Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Cichy came off injured reserve Nov. 28 after sitting out seven games due to a hamstring injury, but the Buccaneers seemingly did not like what they saw when the Wisconsin product retook the field.
