Chargers' Vince Mayle: IR bound
Mayle (undisclosed) has reverted to the Chargers' injured reserve, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Mayle was hoping to make the Chargers 53-man roster after spending much of his 2018 season on their practice squad. However, he ended up getting waived with an injury designation and going unclaimed. As a result, he will spend his 2019 season there unless both parties reach an agreement on an injury settlement.

Chargers' Vince Mayle: Signs reserve/future contract
Mayle signed a futures deal with the Chargers on Monday, Ricky Henne of the Chargers' official site reports.
Mayle spent the majority of the season on the team's practice squad after appearing in 23 games over the past three seasons split between the Cowboys and Ravens. While Antonio Gates' future remains up in the air, the Chargers retain Hunter Henry, Virgil Green and Sean Culkin -- leaving Mayle as the longshot tight end.

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Removed from PUP list
Mayle (undisclosed) has been removed from the Physically Unable to Perform list, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Mayle passed a physical Friday morning and presumably will begin practicing within the next few days. He'll need to make a strong impression during training camp, considering Hayden Hurst, Mark Andrews (undisclosed) and Nick Boyle are all roster locks, with Maxx Williams also ahead of Mayle in the pecking order at tight end.

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Slated to open training camp on PUP list
Mayle (undisclosed) will begin training camp on the Ravens' Physically Unable to Perform list, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
We're surprised to see Mayle on the PUP list considering the tight end wasn't known to be nursing an injury. Nonetheless, Mayle's lack of availability for the start of training camp figures to put him behind the curve in the fight to secure the No. 4 tight end job in Baltimore.

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Signs ERFA tender
Mayle signed his exclusive-rights tender Monday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
Mayle appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens in 2017 but only saw 21 snaps on offense as his primary responsibilities came on special teams. He currently profiles as Baltimore's No. 3 tight end behind Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams, but that could change depending what the team does in the upcoming draft.

Mayle (concussion) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Mayle faced no limitations at practice Friday and appears clear of the concussion he suffered last Thursday. The 26-year-old should serve as the Ravens' third tight end with Ben Watson and Maxx Williams (ankle) both active Sunday.

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Not taking contact Thursday
Mayle (concussion) was donning a non-contact jersey for Thursday's practice, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The Ravens listed Mayle as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, and he'll likely continue to face restrictions until he's cleared for contact. Once that happens, Mayle would still have to pass a concussion test conducted by independent neurologist before receiving the green light to play in games. Even at full strength, Mayle is just a depth tight end who sees most of his action on special teams.

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Ruled out for remainder of Thursday's game

Ravens' Vince Mayle: Switching to tight end
Mayle has been moved to tight end, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The former Cleveland Brown was picked up by the Ravens on waivers toward the end of last season and will now try to crack the roster at a new position. Physically, Mayle's better suited at tight end at the NFL level after running a 4.67 40-yard dash at the Combine, but he's still undersized and has shown a penchant for drops in the past. He'll need to make waves during training camp in order to latch on with the practice squad considering the amount of money the Ravens have tied up in their tight end group.

Mayle was waived by the Cowboys on Thursday.
The former fourth-round selection struggled to make an impact in the Cowboys' offense following his promotion to the active roster in November. Cowboys' Vince Mayle: Promoted to active roster
Mayle was promoted to the active roster Wednesday, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.
In the wake of TE Geoff Swaim's (pectoral) placement on injured reserve Wednesday, Mayle was called to the active roster in order to serve in an H-back type of role.
