Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon: Returning in Week 13
Witherspoon (shoulder) was activated from the injured reserve list Saturday and has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers.
The 30-year-old will suit up Sunday for the first time since sustaining a broken shoulder blade in the Rams' Week 2 win over the Titans. Witherspoon was a key part of Los Angeles' secondary in 2024, recording 31 total tackles and nine passes defended, including one interception, across 13 regular-season contests. Now fully healthy, he's expected to operate as one of the Rams' top boundary corners in Week 13.

Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon: Designated to return from IR
Witherspoon (shoulder) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday.
Witherspoon has been sidelined since Week 2 while recovering from a broken shoulder blade, per Greg Beacham of the Associated Press. Head coach Sean McVay originally described the cornerback's injury as a broken clavicle in September, but nonetheless, the team has now opened a 21-day practice window for Witherspoon. He was a full participant at Wednesday's practice session, and it's possible that he could return to action Sunday against the Panthers. The 30-year-old will have to be activated from IR within the next 21 days, or he'll be forced to remain sidelined for the rest of the season.

Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon: Shifts to IR
The Rams placed Witherspoon (collarbone) on injured reserve Monday.
Head coach Sean McVay said that Witherspoon broke his clavicle in the Rams' Week 2 win over the Titans, so his move to IR on Monday comes as no surprise. The Colorado product played 62 defensive snaps this season before sustaining his injury, recording three total tackles and one pass defensed. McVay said Monday that Witherspoon will avoid surgery but is facing a projected 12-week recovery timeframe, per Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site.

Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon: Breaks clavicle in Week 2 win
Head coach Sean McVay relayed that Witherspoon broke his clavicle during the Rams' 33-19 win over the Titans on Sunday, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Witherspoon left in the second quarter of Sunday's game, and further tests and imaging revealed the fracture. The severity of the injury will keep the 2017 third-rounder out for multiple weeks, making a stint on injured reserve for him likely. Emmanuel Forbes is the top candidate to start at outside corner opposite Darious Williams for as long as Witherspoon is sidelined.

Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon: Good to go vs. Texans
Witherspoon (knee) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus Houston, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Witherspoon popped up on the Rams' injury report with a knee issue Thursday, but it was apparently minor and won't stop him from suiting up in Week 1. With Christian Kirk ruled out for Sunday with a hamstring issue, Witherspoon figures to be lining up mostly against Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins when he's on the field.

Witherspoon did not participate in Thursday's practice due to a knee injury, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Witherspoon may have picked up the injury during Wednesday's practice session. The severity of the injury isn't clear, but his practice participation Friday will provide clarity on his chances of playing in Sunday's regular-season opener against the Texans in Los Angeles. Cobie Durant, Josh Wallace and Emmanuel Forbes would be the top candidates to start at outside corner opposite Darious Williams if Witherspoon is not cleared to play in Week 1.
