Eagles' Renell Wren: Signs with Philly
Wren signed a contract with the Eagles on Friday, NFL reporter Dov Kleiman reports.
Wren was drafted by the Bengals in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft and made 11 appearances during his rookie campaign. However, his career was derailed ahead of the 2020 season after he suffered a season-ending quadriceps injury, and he's appeared in just one contest since 2019. The Eagles have a plethora of talent on the their defensive line, so it'll be an uphill battle to make Philadelphia's roster.

Bengals' Renell Wren: Cleared to return
Wren passed his physical and is cleared to return to practice for the beginning of training camp Wednesday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Wren landed on the PUP list for undisclosed reasons Sunday but was quickly cleared to return. He missed all of the 2020 season due to a quadriceps injury and will now fill a depth role along the defensive line if he is able to make the team.

Cincinnati adds some youth to its defensive interior behind Geno Atkins and Andrew Billings. The Arizona State product is a load at 318 pounds with standout athleticism for that size, highlighted by a 118-inch broad jump that shows strength and explosiveness in his lower half. Wren is a run-stuffer primarily, one that won't add much of a pass rush on the interior.
