Jets' Jalin Moore: Technically retires
Moore was placed on the reserved/retired list Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
This is an interesting case, as the reserved/retired list has been discussed in NFL circles as a way to get around the league's finite COVID-19 related opt-out language, allowing for a player to "unretire" and play in the same season if they aren't necessarily ready to commit to truly opting out of the 2020 campaign. That being said, Moore did spend all of 2019 on the NFI list, so this could have more to do with football-related circumstances as opposed to COVID-19.

Jets' Jalin Moore: Placed on NFI
Moore (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List on Tuesday.
Moore signed with the Jets a few weeks ago as an undrafted free agent but ultimately couldn't get over the serious ankle injury he suffered five games into his final season at Appalachian State. The Jets used the open roster spot to claim linebacker James Burgess off waivers.

Jets' Jalin Moore: Lands with Jets
Moore (ankle) signed a contract with the Jets on Friday.
Moore, an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State, is coming off a lost senior season due to an ankle injury. However, he led the Sun Belt in rushing yards in both 2016 and 2017, earning him first-time honors in the conference. It's unclear at this point where Moore stands from a health standpoint.
