Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Officially placed on IR
Goedert (knee) was officially placed on injured reserve Saturday.
This was reported earlier by various sources, but it was officially confirmed by the team later in the day. Grant Calcaterra and C.J. Uzomah will be tasked with taking on the work vacated by Goedert, who will be eligible to return during the team's final week of the regular season.

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Headed for IR
The Eagles are expected to place Goedert (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.
Goedert will have to miss at least the next four games once he's officially placed on IR, making him ineligible to return to the 53-man roster until Week 18. Rapoport suggests that the Eagles' goal is ensuring that Goedert is back to full speed heading into the playoffs, so the tight end's absence could be extended through the Jan. 5 regular-season finale versus the Giants. While Goedert missed time with a hamstring injury from Weeks 7 through 9, Grant Calcaterra filled in as the Eagles' top tight end and tallied nine receptions on nine targets for 93 yards during that stretch. Calcaterra is expected to once again get the first crack at filling in for Goedert this time around, with veteran C.J. Uzomah offering another option at the position.

Goedert (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni used the term "week to week" after Goedert was forced out of last Sunday's win over the Ravens. The tight end didn't practice at all this week, which suggests he's in danger of missing time beyond Sunday. Grant Calcaterra figures to fill in as the starting tight end -- a role he handled for nearly a month earlier this season when Goedert was out with a hamstring injury.

Goedert's absence from practice Wednesday comes as little surprise, given that he was labeled week-to-week after suffering a knee injury during Philadelphia's 24-19 win over the Ravens this past Sunday. The tight end could be a candidate for injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games. While the Eagles haven't officially ruled Goedert out for Sunday's game against the Panthers yet, the expectation is that Grant Calcaterra will step in as the Eagles' starting tight end this weekend.

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Looks to have avoided major injury
The Eagles are optimistic that Goedert avoided a significant knee injury in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Ravens based on his initial evaluation, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Goedert played 40 of the Eagles' 56 offensive snaps and recorded three receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown on four targets before exiting in the fourth quarter. Though he appears to have avoided any structural damage to his knee, Goedert presumably will head in for an MRI on Monday as the Eagles determine the extent of the injury. Even if Goedert is diagnosed with a minor knee sprain, his availability for next Sunday's game against the Panthers could be in jeopardy.

Goedert (knee) is considered week-to-week and could be a candidate for injured reserve, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The injury isn't believed to be season-ending for Goedert, but a four-week stint on injured reserve appears to be an option. In doing so, the Eagles would not have him back until Week 18. For now, Goedert should be considered doubtful, at best, for next Sunday's game against the Panthers. He previously missed three games earlier this season with a hamstring injury. In his absence, Grant Calcaterra played 90-plus percent of the snaps twice in those three contests. Calcaterra likely will slide back into that role for however long Goedert is sidelined.

Goedert caught three of four targets for 35 yards and a touchdown before getting hurt in the second half.
